the position of the window on the shields don't make sense. it should be higher.
also, make the characters' feet smaller. it doesn't make sense to wear heavy giant shoes when picking up your feet when running or walking. they look like those people working in gold storage vaults with protective toe covers.
magnet boots
so they can kick your computer and erase your hard drive

While walking on the walls, I presume?
I'm loving the work being put into this, it is turning out great!
Anyone who doesn't care about having the story ruined feel free to check out our wiki pages, to see some of the stuff that's planned

Lovely, backstories!
*New New York. New Squared York?
*Soviet Underground?
This mod is getting better and better!
Glad to see you're working hard on the storyline now. Before I thought you where just messing around testing gameplay.
magnet boobs
is what I read this as.
is what I read this as.
If they're large, they wouldn't need magnets, surely?
Uh, no. That'll make the HUD too busy and annoying
I suppose you're right. Maybe you could just have the whole block of text swing around, like if you move your camera, and the arrow with the text has to move to still be on screen, have it slide and overshoot a tad? I don't know, it just looks more futuristic. :/

Futuristic tommy gun.
Pretty funny seeing as my cousins' names are Jon and Tom.
This mod has officially become more important to me then black mesa.
:golfclap:
I just tried the svn and god this mod seems like it could be a steam game, like gmod 10.
Just to liven things up, I thought I'd post this quick concept I did some time ago. It's from the very beginning of the game.

Why not have these little bastards move about the major locations? They fight back when attacked, but explode destroying the merchandise inside, when sustained too much damage. If it still can operate to that state.
Blargh, the above image... it smells of Cantina!

that'd be awesome.
fddffff

You guys certainly are talented people
:(
How big is it at the moment? I'm downloading it with SVN and it's gone over a gig.
2.38 gigs, but that's including the svn backups and other stuff you don't have

Shizenhousen. OK thanks.

holy hell, how big do you anticipate the final release to be?
A lot smaller, considering the fact that he mentioned backups being on the SVN aswell.
Maybe 10% of that. This just the NNY level though, if we make the other worlds it's gonna shoot up like a rocket. A very slow rocket though. :v:

you have to realize that most of the time that in-development things take up far, FAR more space than the finished product.
I'd say that a normal 1.5 GB movie, in post-production, is probably just under 130GB. full-blown games are probably about twice the size, I'm sure.
This mod's current development size is very minuscule compared to commercial games. I'd say just for NNY alone, with all assets in completed form, it'd be just around 300 megabytes. however, NNY is already just a small thumbnail in an otherwise behemoth universe

Hopefully not as slow as Black Mesa.

This is probably me being retarded but my first thought upon seeing this sentence was this
