• Is there ANY way I can pay $ instead of Euro on steam?

I be a real American boy who can purchase American games for my European friends for low low price
I can do it for you, not sure what you'd want as collateral though...
Is this the same for the UK, or does steam convert dollars to pounds correctly? I never realised. Have I been paying loads for games that should be cheaper?
I give you American virginity as collateral Just as good as European virginity! Just as good!
Perhaps the games cost the same as they do over here in accordance with a comparison of general wealth/income to cost of product, but simply doesn't match up with the often arbitrary scale of currency conversion. To put it in layman's terms: You aren't paying more because your stronger currency means you should typically earn more for the same amount of labor. Get a job?
I'll help anyone out, not really sure how to prove I'm trustworthy though...
Send me the monies and I will extract the games into your steams.
Could always do what I did to get Spotify (I live in Canada, and it is only open to people in the UK). I have a dedicated box in the UK and I just registered on there. If you have a dedicated box in canada, or the us, you could purchase your games on there. Although if you do not have access to one, it wouldn't be worth it. Just find a trust worthy friend.
Yeah, poor Europeans. Always suffering from slightly later release dates and higher priced steam transactions. 70 Euros is about 100 USD, by the way. You get to pay double!
Either everyone here is very friendly and wants to help, or everyone wants a quick 50 bucks.
Either everyone here is very friendly and wants to help, or everyone wants a quick 50 bucks.
you'd be surprised how many friendly people there are. also, i'd help but i'm lazy.
I just don't buy games at steam anymore. In euros, they are like twice the price for which I can get the game from local game shop, ant there I get the box and manuals and shit like a bonus.

Or I just go to another webstore where they sell it in $.
The reason why the prices aren't fair is that Valve needs to ask the game developers permission to change the price and I'm sure that takes a long time. trust me i have a few sources.

I actually haven't seen single game with separated euro price and there are many of them which came after the change.
Hint hint... I'm a Canadian.
see, i love steam and i wish i could purchase more games, however steams rediculous "1 $ equals 1 euro"-mindset is just straight-dumb stupidity and i refuse to pay in euro because, say, for instance, cod 4. It's still 50$ - 50 euro (it's 2 years old, wtf?!), however 50$ is not 50 euro, it's 70$, so we have to pay friggin 20$ more. God damn i hate the eu. Anyway, i wanted to ask facepunch if anyone knows a method to pay in $? I believe steam bases your location of off your ip. So i was thinking, reinstall steam, get a us proxy and then try again, however before i do anything i just wanted to ask facepunch beforehand. Cheers
$50 = $70??
$50 = $70??
Did you even read the thread? This happens to me. We actually DO pay $, not euros, but because of VAT It adds to the cost. Usually the $20 I think. http://www.contractorcalculator.co.uk/vatcalculator.aspx
Immmmmmmmmmmmm pretty sure that Canadurrians pay using USD on Steam rather than CAD. and if i'm wrong, i will pay everyone 10 dorrar.
I see what you did there.
$50 = $70??
He said $50 isn't 50 euros $70 is.
Well, guess I'm done with Steam. I got a mate in the UK who I trust my money with, but since the the Bri'ish pay in pounds rather than dollar.. I wonder if Norway pays in Euro, I mean they're not in EU
Yeah, I've got a mate in Norway and he said they pay with Euro
