This game has retarded morals.
If you try and make a cure for cancer you'll kill the earth.
If you spend time with your family everyone dies.
If you sacrifice your family and possibly your sanity to save the world everyone dies anyway.
Basically it's a stupidly pessimistic story that pretends to be deep because there is no positive outcome, which isn't true. You can still make a good story with meaning and have a good ending.

[sp] work until the day when lab is locked, then go home so your wife doesn't suicide. Then on the day when the knife guy shows up, stay at home, then go to work the next day. Unfortunately this currently is bugged and restarts the game if you re-enter the house on that day.[/sp]

I went to work, work work, saw a guy jumping off the roof. Went home in and out, fucked the girl from work and came home to witness my dead wife. Took daughter to work for 2 days, I died at the lab and my daughter died at the lobby.
Damnit. Anyway it was a nice peaceful game

I see this working as some sort of sandbox standalone game or mod. But it would be a lot longer and you can restart from scratch when you die.
I remember this other game where if you died (it was a platformer) it would stop you from resuming and when you refreshed you could see people coming and mourning, flowers appearing by your grave. Was pretty funny.

You cannot go back home when lab is locked, at least for me the door for your workplace is blocked with invisible barrier, so you practically HAVE to go to the roof and see the guy dying.
I think the last thing a government would do is release a gaseous form of a modified virus that is designed to kill a specific type of cell.

Well you did bring about the almost complete annihilation of Humanity, along with probably most of the ecosystem which could've been avoided if you just did some more trial runs.
Seriously, if you're such a genius that you're able to make a virus that kills cancer and every known disease, wouldn't you have tested it for at least a couple months to see if it has any harmful effects?
