little kiddies in online games piss me off, they so stupid, but i don't see the point of age restrictions in games, parents buy them anyway. [editline]04:32AM[/editline] allthough, little kids should not be allowed mics in games, once your balls drop and voice breaks it's ok, but when you squeak, gah, it pisses me off.
Yet you somehow found a way to be just as annoying as them without being their age, congratulations.
It's not the age that matters, it's the maturity
I don't have a problem with anyone on the mic. Yeah the voice might be annoying but I don't care. What bothers me is twelve year olds saying, "HEY! Noob fag, I fucked your mom so hard last night!" It's stupid, annoying, and someone needs to take their mic away. What I don't understand is how the parents seems to be completely oblivious to their child's behavior. Their voices should be easily heard and as a parent I would find it concerning for my twelve year old child to make such comments.
I also hate it when people who haven't reached puberty refer to others as "that kid".
We just hate the voice. Fuck, you're playing a good game of TF2 or w/e, then some kid yells in his high voice "GUYS I NEED SOME HELP". No mics till your balls drop. Simple as that.
Little kids belong in games. Good target practice. [editline]12:03AM[/editline]
No mics till your balls drop. Simple as that.

It's not the age that matters, it's the maturity
That's probably the most influential post I've read all day.
Do not use the mic until your balls drop, that is what I did.
I don't care, it's just a generalization. Most little kids are annoying. Just play GTA4 online in freeroam sometime. Also: Add me on Steam chez.
The problem is, is that microphones do not pick up the squeaky voices all that well, and it makes terrible static crackle through and rapes your ears. Take a song. Pitch-shift it up an octave. Amplify it. Add more bass, then pitch-shift up a couple notes and amplify again. Play that song. THAT IS WHAT WE HEAR. Not to mention, if you're that age you shouldn't be playing ANYWAY, and furthermore the immaturity and the idea that meme's are cool and not old is annoying. So many kids are like OLOL SHOOP DA WOOP HAHAHHAH OVER 9000 and it is really goddamn stupid.
I think younger gamers get the bite mainly because it's most of that age group that use a mic more and tend to mic spam. Otherwise they can be really OTT with the game. So they shout more down the mic. I've seen a few users in the 12-15 age group that seem fine have mics but use them very little. I myself have a mic but only used it once or twice and that with friends.
Once you're 14/15 you should stop getting all that shit. It's annoying but you've just got to wait it out.
you're 13 now and you joined in 2005? that makes you like 8 when you joined.
Actually, yes, it would.
I'm 14 and I'm not sure whether to be using my mic or not, people tell me my voice is deep but when I listen to recordings of myself I can't stand it. I can't tell if my voice is fine but I dislike it or if it's annoying altogether :ohdear:

This year i thought my voice was really fucking annoying over the mic when i recorded myself, but i asked my friend, he said i was alright, and when his dad over heard me and him voice chatting over steam (I was helping him through Fallout 3) his dad said i sound like an adult.

Can't hurt to give it a go.

A guy on my friends list sounded so mature when he told me he was 14 I said "What? I thought you were in your 20s" Just record yourself and make sure it isn't too high.* *If your ears bleed it's too high.
My opinion is that little kiddies shouldn't be playing M-rated games.
I am in this "Little kid" age group and for the first time, decided to host a live show with my voice! some fun, but I guess it wasn't fun for the viewers. Apparently I was an "annoying little kid". I did no such things to annoy them, and looking back, was simply just not pestering anyone!
Do you have any idea how much what you said conflicts with itself No one wants to hear anyone's "live show" while playing unless that person is a comedic genius with a great voice
I honestly don't care about the age or the pitch of someones voice when they're using the mic. It's probably because I don't like to judge people on their voice due to my speech impediment, and I don't like to judge by age because a lot of the time it's unwarranted.

And I never spit memes, be a douche, or yell "OMG I HAD SEX WITH UR MOM" over mics. It's simply strategy, alerting others of enemies, and the like when I play in online games. But I think I may be in the "high pitched" voice range, I don't know, I can't really judge myself, but that's really the only thing I lack when it comes to using the mic. Wait another year, sure.
Solution: If you don't like it, mute them.
Kids on games are annoying. If you're not even near being able to buy a game yourself at least have the decency not to rape everyones ears on it.
I don't see the point of little kids even wanting to use a headset, because they rarely say anything useful like strategies, they just whine and whine.. I never use a headset unless I am playing with my friends, since for the most games I play it's useless. (User was permabanned for this post ("Mod Sass" - Jimbomcb))
Ok, last time I did this I was raged at for around 5 whole days, but here goes. I'm 12. I do get angry when some 7 year old on a game goes, "AH WHAT THE FUK THAT GUY TOTALYZ HAZ A HACKER. I SHOT HIM, LIKE 12 TIMES WITH A PIZTOL AND HE DIDNT EVN FLINCH!!11! I normally don't use a headset while playing with strangers, but if my friends are online, yeah, I'll talk to them. The Xbox comes with a headset. Might as well use it. Actually, one of my friends is actually like that. Except he's not 7. He's around 12. He always blames hackers for everything. Well gues what? Your just bad at the game.

No, it's not an insult, it happens to everyone, me included, what happens is you think you are the worst person, look bad, and that stuff, but it's just you being hard on yourself. Just try it out, and see what happens.

ITT Little kids who try to look cool by saying they're mature gamers
ITT Little kids who try to look cool by saying they're mature gamers
Clearly you're exempt from your own witty summary. Anyway, OP you're wrong please refrain from talking until your testicles descend because kiddy voices cause ear bleeding to the max.
When it comes to mic this is the saying... "When the balls are down, come on down!" I'm pretty sure that applies to porn too.
