yeah it's supposedly the same price as dofus was I.E. about $6-7 a month at release of course
only $6-7 dollars? if i can get a group to play with i might actually consider paying for it [editline]17th January 2012[/editline]
Yeah I have no idea what I'm supposed to do or how I get anything.
the game is rather unconventional in that it's more sandbox focused in that you mainly just do whatever you want and don't actually get "quests" however, this also has the negative side of leaving newer players dazed and confused i suggest you go to the forums and check guides on whatever nation you joined they should give you some info on where to find trainers so that you can get started with professions
When you leave Incarnam, you should try grinding with the monsters in the outpost of the respected nation you chose. After that, just dick around and try to get an armor set based around your element. A good one to start with is the Piwi sets. Green Piwi's give Earth, Red give Fire, Blue give Air, etc. From there, you can start trying out your professions or group up with others and grind and do dungeons. The game isn't very clear on what to do because its very sandbox like.
I am having fun with it, but almost finishing a Task but one of them requiring a rare drop is a bitch move on the dev's part.
I am having fun with it, but almost finishing a Task but one of them requiring a rare drop is a bitch move on the dev's part.
Which task is that? [editline]17th January 2012[/editline] If it's the one with the Celestial Gobball in Incarnam, you shouldn't bother with that until you are at least level 15. That fucker is tough as nails. [editline]17th January 2012[/editline] I had to start my character over recently because I messed up distribution in my statistics quiet a bit. Since I am going to be a full HP Fire Sacrier and all, I need to find a speciality or specialities that tie into it.
Alright, I've set up a Facepunch guild on Nox, the North America server (ie the one most of you should be on). Get online and post your usernames. OR, get online and PM me, I'm Tanith in game. Just pm me about joining the guild.
It says you aren't online. [editline]17th January 2012[/editline] But I'm Karahaut in-game.
So is anyone playing on Remington?
I'm Lilliana on Nox.
Okay, sorry, I'm back in game. Tanith in game, Facepunch guild, PM me in game. Yeah. [editline]18th January 2012[/editline] The Facepunch guild is 3 members strong! We're all online and eagerly awaiting more people. [editline]18th January 2012[/editline] Alright, I'm off to fa-sleep for the night. We're not 4 members strong! I'll be back on in 8 hours or so.
Added the FP Nox guild to the OP.
So is anyone playing on Remington?
I play on Remington. Eniripsia named Synapseudo if you're interested. Still level 4 or 5 though.
Alright, I'm awake, and I'll be in game soon enough. Post in this thread if you're gonna be online + requesting to be in the guild.
I love Ankama. Their games look so sexy you just have to give them a try. I even went to the Ankama convention in 2009 or 2010 which was awesome. Little kids dressed in super cute costumes, huge tofu you could jump on and jailbait in sexy cosplay. I mean look at the trailer.
I'm on right now, if anyone is interested in joining the Facepunch guild on Nox.
Anyone playing on the English server?
As in the North American server, Nox? Yeah. Facepunch guild is there. PM me if you're on Nox and want t join!
As in the North American server, Nox? Yeah. Facepunch guild is there. PM me if you're on Nox and want t join!
you're not on
As in the North American server, Nox? Yeah. Facepunch guild is there. PM me if you're on Nox and want t join!
English, not American. Remington. I couldn't join Nox.
Most of us seem to be on Nox.
you're not on
Yeah not anymore, I went to eat dinner. NOW I'm back. Who else is on?
I can't level anywhere, I'm level 5 and monsters are always in like groups of 4 or more and I end up dying. Any ideas? I'm in Bonta if that makes a difference.
I can't level anywhere, I'm level 5 and monsters are always in like groups of 4 or more and I end up dying. Any ideas? I'm in Bonta if that makes a difference.
You can take the Canoon back to Incarnam and keep fighting Wodents until level 7. Make sure to take full advantage of the wisdom candies because you can't use them after level 30. In every outpost of a nation, there is a cross like section where you can fight some single enemies like Piwi's and nation special enemies. Alternatively, you can always ask for a group. People are willing enough to help each other out and fight enemies.
If I'm not on, you can try contacting Cidartha or Karahaut about joining the guild.
If I'm not on, you can try contacting Cidartha or Karahaut about joining the guild.
Or if, like me, you are Brakmar. That was the easiest workaround ever.
I just started playing on Remington (Europeans are blocked from Nox it seems). I'm playing a Xelor, though I have not yet decided on an element. I'm thinking of either fire or fire/air. How's that? On which abilities should I spend my points? Also, does it matter which outpost(nation?) I pick when leaving the starting area?

The tutorial is pretty quick in itself, so you can mess around with a few builds and such. Check the official forums on your respected class because a lot of the information there is very useful.
I started an enutrof because they were pretty cool in dofus but they changed so much i have no clue what to raise. You'll be able to reset i think so i'll just try my own build. [editline]19th January 2012[/editline]
I can't level anywhere, I'm level 5 and monsters are always in like groups of 4 or more and I end up dying. Any ideas? God, the artstyle, theme, and overall feel of this game is amazing. Although I have a few bugs in my end, sometimes it takes ages to just log in, and if I get lucky and do get in, it's like I'm living in a ghost town, no players, NPCs or anything :( Anyone also experiencing this problem? I'm in Remington if that helps
