Tribes: Ascend v2: I went slow once and it was awful - Games

Well that bug where you get sent back the the main menu is still around, but now you just get stuck in a screen with only two options, "Return to Game" and "Buy Gold." they don't work though.

Should I get Potential Energy or Survivalist first?

The new map is great, feels a lot more like Tribes 1 and 2. Bases are pretty well designed, and the steep hills are nice. I got to 300+ Sanics a few times.

Bought VIP and 800 gold today, got a 10 day booster and Survivalist with the gold :D Time to play non-stop for 10 days!

I love impact nitrons. I llama grabbed the flag to stop them from capping, then got the highest speed of the round flying back :v: Also it seems they can no longer knock the flag out of your own hands when you throw them, so that's nice.

Also I can't connect to the servers at the moment, even though it says they're up. Anyone else having trouble?

Hi-Rez make some damn pretty skyboxes.

I can't decide if I want reach or safety third. Being able to get past heavies standing on the flag would be nice, but so would another impact nitron.

But, if I was a capper I'd go for reach because in terms of practicality it's nicer to still grab even if you get knocked a little off-course and really there isn't much advantage to going 300 instead of 250 in a pub match. On the other hand of course extra nitrons will be better if you find yourself chasing more than grabbing.

On the new map, its kind of hard to do because the collision meshes are really off, (possibly to prevent people from doing it), but if you can get all the way to the top of the big cliff things in the center, you get a ridiculous amount of speed by jumping down to the volcano's sides. (250+ without nitrons)

Ugh, getting close to 100k xp, can't decide what I should unlock... MIRV, Bolt or Thumper...

That feel when you transition from defense to offense, playing both hard, getting tons of kills and flag returns and still lose.

I just spent like 3 whole matches ramming myself at super sanic speeds into the enemy flag over and over. Was the most fun ever
