Tribes: Ascend v2: I went slow once and it was awful

The new map is so broken.

Not only can you get under the map, you can get inside the towers (go behind the slide near the flag at the top), and if the other team doesn't know about the bugs, there's no way for them to get the flag back.

Also if you throw the flag while you're falling off the bottom of the map at high speeds, it disappears for several minutes.

Lets look at it:

1) Free to play.
2) Only 3gb.
3) Ranked matchmaking, so you will be paired up with people that are roughly the same level as you (1-5). Basically, you will be playing with people who also just started playing.
4) Easy to pick up? Yes, extremely easy to pick up, or so from my experience.
5) [VGS] Shazbot!
6) GOTTA GO FAST

There aren't any cons I can think of. If I had to choose one F2P game to get, this would be my first choice (TF2 doesn't count).

No, it's just a fancy word for "Framerate Cap"

Caps the framerate at 62 fps, the reasoning is that it prevents framerate spikes. Don't know if it's forced on for the main menu but that will also prevent you form doing 1000fps in the menu screens and warming up your GPU.

this game has worse matchmaking than WoT
but that doesn't matter, as long as you go fast no matter what rank the other guy is, he ain't got shit on you

I don't think matchmaking actually cares about your rank. It just tosses you into a server with slots available in your region.

Ranked Matchmaking will actually do that, not sure if level based or using a ranking system like elo.

Odd, when I was just starting out I would join people that were level 1-5. Now I never see anything below 8, I guess everything is 1-7 then 8+. I'm level 16.

Practicing sniping, managing to get 6 kills in a game now! I seem to hit a lot of people....then they start moving, I hit someone that was about to capture the flag from miles away and killed him, that was a [VGW] Woohoo!

My brother started playing this, he was in the 1-5 servers after it opened and almost everyone was not skiing and not using VGS. I didn't even hear a single shazbot.

Just two weeks before they made it open, rank 1's were going 300 sanics and slinging shazbots. I hope the newer players will learn to play.
