one of the badges for getting 250 speed gave me 5000(or maybe 6000?) exp. it took me like 10 seconds on katabatic to get it, not to mention theres another for 320 speed that i havent gotten yet. its stuff that you can easily "grind" out by going just for them but its also stuff that will just happen if you play as you normally would

i see it only being useful for infs and only for getting the flag dropped in a stalemate or maybe just trolling fatties on katabatic in gen room.
I don't get how you can receive more than 1000XP post game, I've had several games now where I've gotten a heap of badges, total in-game scores of around 10000 and my final XP never comes out to more than 1000-1500, usually less.

and I got to rank 4
but every time I press C my pack item doesn't work, am I missing something?
That soundboard is pretty good practice for getting voice commands right.

with vip and boost i could literally just run around the map all game to avoid being afk kicked and still get 1000 exp i usually make atleast 2.5k a game assuming it isnt a quick 5 minute stompfest.
if youre not vip with a boost youre playing the game wrong imo
Sonic punch was funny for awhile when I knocked a few people off the edge in the gen room, then I realised how horrible life as an infiltrator is without survivalist.

Seriously, in one game I went from 6000 to 12,000 and I don't even have VIP. Just juggernauted around like I usually do.

with my gratuitous XP I got infiltrator and technician, because both of them seem to fit my playing style
does anybody have any tips for a new player? other than go fast, of course

Anyone know if VIP/Booster effects badge XP? Thinking of actually buying some GP for a booster. They have earned it. This is the only game I'll willingly play by myself in years (I only ever play online games with friends). This game's perfect to waste hours on.
Since I fell down the stairs and am on crutches for 6 weeks I don't have to feel guilty playing this all day :v:

In case they switch classes and then deploy them maybe.
They really need to overhaul the turret system for the Technician. They need to add HUD indicators for each turret you deploy so you can see it's health where ever you are. They should also add an outline to them when your turrets aren't in direct line of sight. Also, the ability to self-destruct one manually would be great. They could make it a unique VGS command that would be only available for Technicians. It could be like VD1 and VD2, so you can choose which one you want to destroy. Then on the HUD, it would display which sentry is 1 or 2.

That happens to me way to often in T:A.
Starting to really like Sentinel, should have just gotten him instead of Technician. Yesterday I was playing Drydock, and was sitting in one of our spawn towers, I sniped the enemy flag carrier that was behind their base skiing towards his flag stand. Meanwhile, one of our Pathfinders was chasing him, once I killed him off, the Pathfinder returned our flag and then we got the capture because we had their flag also. I just feel so useless as Technician, it's probably just because I barely have any upgrades and no Thumper. Will give him another chance eventually.
Is the rhino smg any good? everyone is using spinfusor nowadays but I haven't tried the rhino after the projectile "nerf"
Also I remember some site where you could compare the different weapons dps over time, anyone got a link to that?

Meh nevermind, got the 3k gold and 30 day booster.
They've fucked up with the stats already, I played a match of soldier, a match of pathfinder and a match of jugger (fresh from the new update) and it said I've played pathfinder 90%, and jugger and soldier at 5% each.
Mind you, before I played the matches, I looked at the graph, and they were all at 0%.

When I played Techie without any upgrades and unlocks I still came out on top, I really had no problem killing people since the TCN4 is pretty damn strong anyway.

Yeah it is really powerful, compared to the Assault Rifle the soldier has, being as for some reason, it being a bigger gun and I assume it fires much more powerful bullets does only 74 damage, whilst TCN4 does ~80. But i'd prefer the thumper because those fucking infs that make it through our defence are like flies, jetpacking all over the fucking place, so it's kinda hard to shoot them with that, Heavies on the other hand are a different story, really easy to kill.
True. The only thing I miss after getting the thumper is not being able to slay those pesky flies who grab our flag and just barely escape. I did chase one and fuck him up with the thumper for at long range once though, was satisfying as hell to see his body fly.
shoot at infs feet with thumper for instakill = skill
