Nobody likes llama grabs. Nobody. Unless the enemy team is about to cap and nobody else is about to grab their flag.
On Sunstar I llama grabbed the flag as a brute because they were about to cap, and I some how got it back to our base for the winning cap.
Holy fuck, that rifle for Jugg is so good. It seems better than chaingun and it's a secondary, I don't think it should be like this.
Holy fuck, that rifle for Jugg is so good. It seems better than chaingun and it's a secondary, I don't think it should be like this.
As far as I can tell it's nowhere near as good as the chaingun. I eat rifle juggs for breakfast as a doomie.
As far as I can tell it's nowhere near as good as the chaingun.
The LMG can chew through lights and mediums as if they're not even there. It's bullshit.
I just played with a guy who wasn't even that good but he was dominating with it, my team wasn't very bright but come on, he ate 3 soldiers before I got my fat doombringer ass close enough to finish him off.
I am terribad as a jugg, I'm much better at light classes, or it may be that I just haven't spent any XP points on my jugg :v:
i hate juggs on dry dock
I'm starting to get pretty good at juggerfinder (which i have also nicknamed fatfinder for funsies) The only downside is the low energy regen and how little thrust it actually gives you, other than that you can still fly long distances with egocentric+heavy spinfuser and take the flag at over 200 sanics pretty easily edit: the best bit of all is when people ask why you're capping with juggernaught and you reply with "IM JUST A PATHFINDER MAYBE IVE PUT ON A LITTLE WEIGHT DONT JUDGE ME"
anyway to make vehicles turn faster?
i thought brute was fatfinder
Bullet weapons are pretty ridiculous in general. They do a shit-ton of damage if someone can actually aim. Due to their rate of fire, they are also much easier to consistently hit someone with. Since they have immediate and constant feedback, you can clearly see if you're shooting too far ahead or behind someone. They also have no drawbacks compared to pretty much every other weapon in the game since they can easily shoot flying targets or ground targets without having to worry about missing a shot and it resulting in your death due to the 2 second reload time (aka spinfusor). The only reason they made them so strong is because people suck at aiming with them, however, if someone is even slightly competent, they will decimate people constantly. The Soldiers assault rifle does 75 damage per shot. It will kill a light in 12 shots, medium in 18 shots, and a heavy in 32 shots. Every other bullet based weapon (excluding sentinel falcon which does 70 damage) does equal or more damage than the Soldier assault rifle. Bullet based weapons are OP as hell.
i thought brute was fatfinder
i dont have any unlocks for brute so he cant be my fatfinder edit: actually looking into it, brute has a heavy spinfuser already AND an energy pack by default so I'll try it
k
thx :v:

Yeah you're totally gonna win.
When you're in close quarters with a Brute or Doombringer and all you have is a Rhino and maybe some stickies if you're lucky? Yeah you're totally gonna win.
Yes, let's completely ignore what I was actually talking about and make an absurd comparison. However, it is still possible for the Infiltrator to win in that situation (maybe not with the Doombringer though since he has the chaingun). You also bring up my next complaint about this game. I've posted it in the past, but I'll say it again. Heavy classes have too much health. Their absurd amounts of health are causing many other parts of the game to be unbalanced. If heavy classes had less health, they could lower the damage on the Technician thumper, which would also buff infiltrators for their permanent "underpowered" status they get when they try to actually infiltrate enemy bases. Heavies with less health would also make mortar base rape less of a problem since they would actually be worried about taking damage as they're standing on that hill. There were various other points I made but I don't remember them anymore. Maybe I'll try and dig up my old post if I'm not lazy.
I am trying to have a friend of mine be able to play Tribes, however when we try to log in it claims that his password or username is incorrect, even though he is able to log on to the Hi-Rez website. Anyone else had this problem before that may be able to help? I've tried logging on myself with my account on his computer and successfully entered the game, so it does not seem to be any connection problems or such.

It's really fucking difficult, and I've been playing FPS Games since I was 5 or 6 years old.

Constant stream of bullets that do 80 damage each on top of the grenade launcher is a bit too much. I try and stick to clearing flag stands and toasting radars/turrets anyway but still. That SMG is fucking ridiculous.
So I've got 5 days free and was thinking of using this to consume a lot of time, probably a rather dumb blanket question but think this'll do the trick? :v:
beowulfs are pretty fun to use on defense

So I copied you guys and got Beowulf into Sunstar (is that the name of the map?) gen room... four times in a match. Hilarious, got loads of kills too, it inspired a friendly juggerfat and we had 2 Beowulfs there at the same time, but he fell into the pit :v: I wish I had some referrals, but my friends either played the game before me or are too slow for it.

I got my first blue plate today, with the heavy spinfusor :v: Anyways, waiting for the next update [editline]7th April 2012[/editline]
I know, I've been playing Raider a lot and I feel so dirty every time I whip out the SMG. This shit is hillarious!
I really don't understand the hate towards the Big Thumper. Yeah, it's not exactly suitable for the class, but it pretty much performs like a limited spinfuser. There are FAR more OP weapons in the game. Is it because it makes your objective of raping and pillaging the base a LITTLE bit more difficult?
Some people are under the impression that this should be like TF2 and the Technician should be a non-combat class and therefore an easy kill. Since turrets in Tribes are nowhere near as powerful as their TF2 counterpart, the Technician still has to be the guy doing most of the work, hence the Thumper, which is pretty much a short-ranged Spinfusor anyways. It's a bit counter-intuitive, but I think people would complain less if the SMG weren't terrible, as having the default weapon be so poor definitely contributes to the image of Techs as being supposed to be weak.
I think he's talking about the sabre launcher, it'll basically keep everyone from staying in the air for more than 2 seconds and discourages the use of vehicles
Grav Cycles can mostly outrun a chasing missile, tanks are begging for missiles but should be on defense anyway and the launcher really only is useful for shrikes. even then just hover outside its range and gg
