Tribes: Ascend v2: I went slow once and it was awful

wasted my exp upgrading juggerfat, dam its such cheap class, if indoors just randomly shot mortar get 2 kills if outdoor get on top of a hill and laugh at enemy base
idk if I would go so far as to call it cheap or OP but Juggernaut is the class I play when I don't particularly feel like working for kills. If you can lead the Fusion Mortar it's so easy.
I want to get the gold "Going Fast" badge and i just have 2 left
But at what speed do you have to go?
Im at the silver badge right now
I hate bolt laucher in the pathfinder, its very cheap.
Dont come out saying it take skills because it doesn't, you just fly up to the air and wait until the enemy lands.

Sounds like most weapons in Tribes then.

That's how all the grace weapons work with the crappy physics system in place.

Thats what one does with the light spinfusor aswell? Wait untill the other person lands to get in a hit? Unless you are pro and can get blue plate specials every shot

u get kills anyway, if u go bombard their base someone is going to try kill u, eventually after u raped their base assets u go to generator.
got 35 kills in a match, and i dont have mirv, lmg and discs

How is the physics system crappy?
So my boyfriend finally convinced me to download this game and play it. It's awesome : D
Got the flag one round and didn't know where to take it till the hints finally told me, worst moment of my lifeeee. Captured the flag though : D
I like this game, it is pretty easy to get into as a noob.
Any hints though? I mostly play as tech.
Anyone got any tips on disc jumping and propelling yourself with impact nitron?
Don't shoot too soon? =P

I use tech almost constantly now. Setting up turrets is a great way to get easy kills, and repairing stuff is an incredible way to get XP. Try to repair, upgrade, and protect the generator in CTF for maximum XP gainage.

Not at all.

The bolt launcher is a straight upgrade from the spinfusor, in fact is a mix between the thumper and the spinfusor with high damage and huge speed. In the DBM is fine because takes the ''keep flying up in the air for more that 5 seconds and become imposible to hit" tactic.

It would be balanced if it had same DPS as PTH's Spinfusor, which means way slower rate of fire. It is indeed cheap as it is.

Also how do you get good at aiming with grenade launchers as the Raider? Or aiming at all. I still suck at it.

Get in enemy base, point down corridor, pull trigger. Bounce round corner for style bonus.
tried out the new ctf map went brute and skiied into their gen room. several people were on my ass so I dropped 3 fractal nades into the gen room and suicided. got my first ultra kill this way. got no screenshot becuase it didnt get saved for some reason

Congratulations, you have mastered the Brute class.
I got two of my friends into the game but they didn't use my referral link. Is there any way I can somehow get credit for that?

Possibly contact Hi-rez.
Also i killed our flag carrier on the naked spawn server so i can get the cap.
Let's say he did not respond well.
I'm chuckling like a moron right now.

Thanks for this gif, stealing it for future use :)
Tried recording some, mainly to see how it looked graphics-wise.

Basically, jetpacks are weak and weird due to the need to band-aid the lack of friction and/or air resistance. Cappers have an easy time due to how easy speed is to keep up, but chasers have a harder time because of how hard it is to get going due to the lack of force from explosive jumping/jetpacking.
Also, cappers have an advantage in a chase due to inheritance being less than 100%, this is why CGs are so popular for chasing, their projectile is fast and has a high RoF, allowing the user to adjust for un-intuitive physics. And mortars are just all sorts of fucked up.
does superheavy affect how fast you jetpack up?
does superheavy affect how fast you jetpack up?
I honestly don't know, it should but the rest of the physics system in nonsensical.
I bet it affects your jetpacks acceleration cap instead of (making sense) affecting your mass which would lead to requiring more energy to jet the same distance/slightly less acceleration off a disc jump.

Wouldn't make sense for a perk to hinder you unless it was a trait kind of thing.
