So I've been trying to get my friend into the game for a few weeks now, but he wouldn't join because TA "looked too much like Halo". Finally, after a different friend started playing with me, he gave in and made an account (on Friday). Last night he decided he liked the game enough to buy VIP. :v: Also with his gold he bought the thumper for tcn, and got a rampage in his first game with it.

Two of my RL friends are playing against each other on the Tribescast. Ph34r and Tobacco, they are playing against each other. Tobacco plays defense and Ph34r is a flag runner, its entertaining to see them go head to head.

Is the proximity grenade for soldier worth getting? It seems to me a direct upgrade from the default one. I mastered and love using the spinfusor disk thrown by the jug as a grenade, and the prox.grenade seems to me quite similar in mechanic, perhaps better? I'd use it for head to head combat.

The weapon & arm models, the grasstextures, and so on. It does look similar to halo. Gameplay wise, it's nothing like it. Oh, and when did starsiege tribes come out? 1998, or something.

It looks more like Halo then say Call of Duty does but it still doesn't really look like Halo to me.

Do any of you use the thrust pack on pathfinder? I tried it in practice mode but I didn't like it, always used all my energy for a little boost.

Man, being a Raider is fun. It would make more sense if the grenades bounced though. But playing as a Raider got me fuckloads of xp, so should i buy Doombringer or upgrade stuff.

I just downloaded Tribes 2 (or how it is called Tribes Next) and played it. HOLY SHIT I AM BAD. I mean bad bad. I thought i would be at least decent with my knowledge from T:A. Damn.

DMB without super heavy is up. Any other perk I should get for him?
