Tribes: Ascend v2: I went slow once and it was awful

Oh God I just spent half an hour changing Windows sounds to Tribes soundbytes what am I doing with my life
"Players should now receive XP at the end of a match even if they are offline when the match ends."
FINALLY. There's nothing worse than getting kicked out of a 4-4 match in overtime with 20K score and not getting ANYTHING after relog.
"Reduced the maximum damage caused by the “Clothes Line” upgrade of the Super Heavy Perk by roughly 23%, and raised the speed at which maximum damage is applied to 216kph."

I hope it works retroactively.
I hope it works retroactively.
Highly doubt that, but at least it won't happen from now on. Hopefully.

I'd get so much fucking cash from yesterday, and I'll also have the retroactively restored cash form buying Phase Rifle and Falcon, which means I'll probably get myself a fully equipped Brute today. Gotta start playing those heavies, Brute looks badass as fuck.
Servers are down for patching now, managed to cap 5 flags in 5 minutes before they went down. :v:
All weapons have been given a third person pass. A spectated player will now display the correct weapon model.
Awesome. It was bugging the hell out of me. I got killed by a heavy bolt launcher the other day and the third person model was displayed as a SMG. Also, my normal bolt launcher will finally be a bolt launcher instead of a spinfusor.
I went 229 sanics as a result of someone with a shrike using explosives behind me and chasing me
was nuts
I can reach about 230 sanics just skiing around, being useless.
I love those stupidly intense moments when you have the flag, low hp and 2+ guys chasing you.
Then you get to your base and realise your flag isn't there so have to keep going fast.

There are situations in which you don't?
lol at 4% thumper damage nerf
That's clearly there to appease the whining kids, as that isn't going to make any practical difference at all :v:
God damnit, I wish they'd add a way for the Tech to know when their turret gets attacked/goes down.
It's too often when I go do something else for 3 minutes and then come back to see that both my turrets are dead and I didn't know shit.
I dunno, I think that'd be a pretty powerful asset. Currently, people can infiltrate a base without anyone having a clue what's going on until the generator is down. This is good, as it punishes people for not defending/communicating.
Any pictures of what the new models look like?
They only show a butcher Raider model so far

That's a lot of XP. Also how do you activate your XP boost?

When you're repairing the generator

yeah, It's the account of a developer or something
When you're repairing the generator
But you have to repair the generator fast, or else you're doing it wrong.

Circle around generator while repairing at 200 sanics
gotta go fast

Looks pretty badass. Hope they make Sentinel into something equally as cool.
But you have to repair the generator fast, or else you're doing it wrong.
Yeah but what if you time the repairing just right to bring up a forcefield, which kills an enemy which is about to get the flag
I DO THAT ALL THE TIME
HOW DIDN'T YOU THINK OF THAT
Best feeling in the world is flying in over 180 SANICS and snatching the flag. It only feels better if you continue this by flying off the platform, killing the enemy flag carrier, returning your flag to base, and ending with a flawless run back to base.
Got this game two days ago and I constantly yearn to go fast. :v:
Infiltrator worth the XP?
I've had some pretty ninja stuff pulled on me by the class
My best cap is 58 seconds. The easiest games are 5-man ones. Take down generator, ninja out of base, build up speed and tell allies to get the flag back/defend it, snatch flag, run the fuck back to base.
I've pulled some pretty ninja stuff against infiltrators with juggerslow.
Conclusion: you don't need infiltrator.
infiltrators are a pain to deal with
Now that I've unlocked Techie, I often dash in the enemy base and pop a turret down in a random spot.
It feels evil, but satisfying to hear those hit confirmation sounds when someone goes by it without noticing.

try putting one somewhere in their base near, but not within range of their generator. like around a corner or something.
Infiltrator is a great all around light class for dueling but not particularly better than anything else for general base demolishing.
