Just gold and boosters. Gold and XP can be used to buy classes and weapons. Boosters mean you earn twice as much XP for a limited time.

I heard the hardcore community of tribes 2 is kind of unsatisfied with tribes: ascend in it's current state. I did not play any of the tribes games but this one, but yeah, I find it real fun and addicting.
Since getting a betakey is so easy you should totally give it a chance.
I played Tribes 2 quite a bit, and I love this.
The pre order thing is quite tempting.
So is it actually 19.99 GBP to preorder, it says it is but when i got check out it just says $29.99, I say this because I should be pre ordering this on saturday, but will only have the 20 GBP, so dont want to be charged more.

Infiltrators. Those invisible fucknuggets can take down your generator in seconds and are absurdly hard to rid of. First you think he ran off and start repairing your generator. Suddenly, boom, you're dead and the generator is down.
You think you can take him on 1-on-1? Nope, he snuck off and is nowhere to be seen and no amount of searching will help you. Suddenly, Stealth Spinfusor out of nowhere and you fall down a bottomless pit.

Pretty much everything counters the Infiltrator. Snipers can spam Drop Jammers in the base to reveal the Infiltrator without warning, Infiltrators die in 2 spinfusor hits, they tend to kill themselves with the sticky grenades, 1 point of [I]any[/I] damage will reveal them, turrets make Infiltrators worthless, they aren't actually invisible, and the default SMG is bleh.

Your doing it wrong. If you can't aim well, don't aim at the person, its easy to predict the path of players. You should be able to hit people at the apex of a jump most of the time, they only have one way to go. People moving at a 45 angle are difficult to hit because they don't move across your screen at a constant rate.
Depending on how the person is approaching you determines how many directions they can move in to avoid being shot. They come straight at you at speed, you only need to deal with vertical changes usually. They are coming at an angle, they are always moving in 2 directions that can change quicker then ther ways. They are moving perpendicular to you, they are moving in 2 directions but one direction is mostly constant. If you can move your mouse at a constant speed or can time your shots its easy.

I'm finding the pistol more useful and it's a secondary weapon.

Pistol used to be really awesome, 300 dmg a shot and had twice the rate of fire. But that was overpowered as hell, so then Infilitrator sucked for a while after being nerfed.

I always play heavy, so infiltrators are pretty much a free kill. Also, they're still slightly visible even when cloaked. They have a sort of very transparent oil on water look.
Techs feel so useless. Shitty SMGs and light turrets that every other class can destroy with ease. Makes gen defense a total waste of time.
