This game is amazing. It brings back memories of tribes 2. I love skiing down a massive slope and then you shotgun anyone you see in the face and then when they turn around you come from behind and finish them off with a melee.

I am not sure what's going on but since after the update I am unable to join any games, when I do, I hear a "hammer" sound indicating that I can't... I think. [editline]3/2/2012[/editline] It worked now. What an odd glitch.

got 1.8k xp in 1 match. Dont have VIP and didnt get that many kills. No flag caps either

Somehow managed to get a midair accolade right on our flag with the Mirv.

So is the Backstab-Perk gone for good?

It's functionallity is gained when you level up the melee resistance perk, can't remember which one. Basically Slash Shield and Backstab were rolled together.

Decided to pick up Infiltrator since the XP refund and all classes are cheaper than weapons. It's really not as bad as everyone always made it out to be. Also the spinfusor for it is really fun to use. :v:

Fully upgraded the stock Doombringer class, good fun yo. Except the saber feels... useless... Edit: Here's something quite interesting to look at, this is my mouse movements from 2 matches. The new TDM variant for crossfire isn't that good, I just doesn't have enough opportunities to go fast. Oh and those damn death pools.

Is there ranked matchmaking in this or is the playerbase just really bad at the game? I consistently topscore after about two hours of playing.

Just played a game of crossfire where the enemy team had 6 techs and 2 doombringers. It wasn't really fun. [editline]3rd February 2012[/editline] In fact playing against technicians isn't fun full stop.

TDM is only inferior because of the lack of Vehicles, anyway. It's still got a lot of swooping by and stealing flags at 200km/h. Of course nothing beats sniping a flag carrier across the map with a single fusion mortar shell.

Hows the alternate Pathfinder assault rifle? Any good?

Saw a video of jetskiing in Ascend, got hit with a nostalgia wave and remembered I had a beta key. I installed the game and activated the key, but when I try to start up the game it tells me "this game was not properly authenticated at launch time". What do I do?

Is it just me or are the servers down? It says they're up, but I can't connect.

I got a beta key from Facebook, I installed the game and all, but when I enter the key, it says it's already used, and the terms of agreements don't show up, with the message "cannot connnetc to servers. Register later" or something like that. Do I just have to wait, or is this a normal problem? (And yes, I got the code from their page by liking it)

For one, the stealth spinfusor only does 700 on a direct hit compared to the pathfinder's 812. The energy regen of the pathfinder just is too good to pass up. In duels with pathfinders, the infiltrator gets the short end of the stick, unable to escape or outmaneuver the pathfinder. The inflitrator may be similar in some respects, but by no mean can it replace pathfinder.

Jesus, the Tech thumper is ridiculous. It can kill a medium in two near-misses, a Heavy in three, it explodes instantly, has tons of ammo, and a large splash. I have stopped using the Soldier entirely - I just go as Tech with the Thumper, Shotgun, Grenades, Safety Third, Survivalist, and rape the enemy gen with that. I can spam turrets as well and get free points.

Something that is funny is that is my menu runs really slow, like 24 frames per second but ingame I get around 50. :v:

The Thumper also makes the Infiltrator even [I]more[/I] worthless at infiltrating. If they have any doubts of infiltrators nearby, they can just start blindly firing the Thumper - even 1 point of splash damage will reveal the cloaker.
