So that poor tech trying to repair it usually gets boned pretty quickly.

Amassing XP seems to take forever in this game, but I just don't feel like boosting. Maybe I'll do it once I get a bit of money in, but I don't know. Is it really worth it?

Fuck, how does an entire team not have a single doombringer or sentinel.... No forcefields or claymores to stop them from grabbing the flag at all. I had to stand in as a Brute which is barely better than nothing since I don't have super heavy.

They seem very poor for flag defense, as a fast Pathfinder can still rocket through the flag and there's no way they'll do enough damage to kill him. Hitting the Path with a Thumper right as he caps works, and then the turrets finish him off, but with a weaker Thumper that might not be doable. I guess the underlying issue is that the Technician is a class based around static defense in a game where static defense can be largely ignored to grab the flag or simply destroyed from long range. If all of the deployables were harder to kill, we might see more force fields used to protect the flag, and then turrets would be very useful with a health buff.
