Is this game good? I got a beta invite sometime last year. I didn't know what the hell it was, so I just ignored it.

i'm thinking i'll grab some money to buy some gold, grab the stealth spinfusor, and then enjoy +50% XP. why no melee perk? melee is hilarious.

It just does a much better job of getting you pumped for the round. The only music in TA that comes close is the flag carrier music. The Badlands and Ice themes are my favorite.

Loving the Phase rifle and Falcon. Falcon almost feels a little too good, expecting a nerf on it soon.

Is there any way to change the in-game music in Ascend with custom music? I want some T2 songs in Ascend.

The Tribes 2 music reminds me a little of Red Alert 2's music [editline]16th February 2012[/editline] I love it when someone tries to melee me when I'm a heavy, and I do a 180 and one-shot them with my melee.

Anyone know how to initiate the glitch where you don't have any weapon equipped?

Honestly, I used to kill heavies as a tech. They see me and deem me harmless, focusing fire on the nearby soldier/heavy, while their back is turned, I run towards them, empty the SMG into their back and swoop in for the melee kill. Happened like 5 times in a row.

What I don't like about this game is there seems to be a huge emphasis on staying airborne and at speed. In Tribes 2 you'd find a lot of people staying on the ground, or using their jetpacks very little, especially heavies. The teamwork aspect also seems very watered down in comparison - no command map, beacons, laser designators, shit like that.
