Yeah that has to suck, Euro servers are pretty good, I doubt i'd be able to snipe with a ping over 50, it's hard enough with a 20 ping!

My biggest problem is hitting people that are far away, close range I can hit somewhat consistently, but ranged shots with a few pixels leeway gives me problems. I kinda wish they'd add in 1 more zoom level to make it slightly easier. So me and my friend are having this problem where we can't connect to each others server so we both removed each other and tried to re add each other but both of us don't show in each others friends list when we try to re add. Anyone having this/know how to fix it?

But like I said to someone else, the reason for the lower zoom levels (and the damage drop-off) is because they want to encourage closer range shooting. Long range shots may seem more natural for a 'sniper class' but they only cause frustration for everyone involved, it's annoying enough when going against a sentinel and you can't fight back and the longer the effective distance, the worse it gets.
