Isn't sentinel the only hack-able class though? A wallhack would be useless, and aimbot with projectile weapons seems retarded
A good hack could predict pretty well, using the same algorithm the base turrets use. Take current position, find distance, calculate travel time, project new coordinates, etc. Could work, as most people aren't dodging as well when trying to aim, and the velocities are quite high on the projectiles.

Yeah, but if you're going fast and skiing it's not going to be easy though.
Is it going to be released on steam btw?
I can't decide, flashbang or emp, I liked the flashbang way back but no idea how it is nowadays, especially with the egocentric perk.
I say lower the Tribes Gold cost but keep the EXP cost the same.
$10 for ONE GUN is really asking too much. You can get several good indie games for that price.
if you preorder for $30 then you get 3000 xp which gets you quite a few guns
I think I read a load screen tip mentioning vote-kicking, but that may have been another game.
nope you can votekick
forgot how though
just finished a draw game, 38-2-19(KDA) as sent. it drawed because we had their flag in our gen room on arx, same with them, only problem was their whole team was defense with 1 tech(bad) and 1 inf offense. their team was 6 jugs, 2 dooms, 1 brute with flag, 3 techs and 1 inf. they had a beowolf shoved in the 1 door entrance with a techs repairing it but it didnt matter, if you got in you were 1-2 shot by all the jugs
i just don't see why the TCN gets a thumper
It's an explosive weapon, explosive weapons are effective in interiors where the enemy can't easily escape the explosion, interiors is where the Tech spends most of his time.

It doesnt make sense to me that the tech gets a better explosive weapon than the soldier.

1 - Use mini-turrets code.
2 - We hope.
Hm. There is something wrong with my stuff. When I try to start up the game, the game says that it can't connect to the authentication service, and need to run the Diagnostics and Support program.
When I run the Diagnostics and Support program, it says that the Authenticate and Update server won't start on this machine, and I need to uninstall the authentication and update service from the control panel.
When I try to uninstall the authentication and update service from the control panel, it says that it is unable to uninstall at this time.
My shit's broke.

My shit's unbroke.
Time for shazbot.
guys, guys
sentinel or tech?

Which means it uses data directly from the game, which makes it really easy to detect.

sentinel only if you have remarkable aim for a PC gamer. otherwise, get tech. it's fun to snipe when you succeed, but it's really hard to succeed in hitting something quite literally a few pixels across.
Tech will also get you closer to defending a base with a turret and grenade launcher. loadsafun.

Actually, as sentinel all you need is good ping. Hitting people is pretty easy with that.

juggernaut
Actually, as sentinel all you need is good ping. Hitting people is pretty easy with that.
ping doesnt mean anything as sent, so long as youre not warping. I and many many others can play sent with terrible ping on US/EU servers no problems. the trouble starts when youre using projectile weapons(or youre/theyre warping a bunch)
It doesnt make sense to me that the tech gets a better explosive weapon than the soldier.
He doesn't. The DX is the soldier's secondary weapon, the regular Thumper is the Tech's primary. A better comparison would be the Thumper to the Spinfusor, and that match-up is pretty much even, with the Thumper doing less damage but having a slightly larger blast.
I love snipers. As any class, I end up walking behind them and stabbing them. They're easy kills.

oh, also, i dont know about your/your setup, but for me players across the map are max 6-8 pixels(not heavies), my crosshair is bigger than them so hitting them is pretty hard

only time i get backstabbed by people is infs that snuck up while cloaked and pathfinders that literally go all the way around the edge of the map to kill me because they cant cap the flag with me alive

Everyone who plays the Soldier uses the Thumper DX like it's supposed to be a primary.
Everyone who plays the Soldier uses the Thumper DX like it's supposed to be a primary.
thats because its easier to finish people off with the AR rather than get them low and then use the thumper, at that point you might as well just kill them with just the AR

I admit it's a bit hard to hit people when they're so small, but it's far from impossible and that's part of what makes it so fun. And it's obvious you haven't seen the differences between 15-20 ping and 80-100 ping, it's MASSIVE.

if you look, maybe 6 pages back, youll see my scoreboard screenshot where i was playing with 130 ping. im from US and play on the EU servers quite a bit. its hardly noticeable.

I've compared my ping to people playing on really low, if I shoot the same way they do my bullets never hit. I need to shoot in front of them and even that doesn't work sometimes.

ive never had to lead my hitscan shots, so it sounds like a problem on your end

You think that's a problem? I usually have to shoot behind them.
juggernaut
yes
upgrade your juggernaut a bit
ive never had to lead my hitscan shots, so it sounds like a problem on your end
I guess I'm just bad then.
having to aim in front of someone isnt a skill problem no one said you were bad
having to aim in front of someone isnt a skill problem no one said you were bad
I thought by wrong on my end was me being bad, but alright :)
To me this game is also too easy. In Tribes 2, using a spinfusor effectively (or any other weapon for that matter) required a lot more skill and a bit more luck too. For most of my life I was fucking terrible at it. Then I download this and play it, and the only time I came any less than 1st in a TDM game was the first round I played, and I've only played Pathfinder since I started.
The inclusion of Hitscan weapons has really pissed me off too. The only hitscan weapon in T2 was the Laser rifle, you even had to lead your targets with the chaingun. Yes, make the bullets travel fast to minimise the necessity of leading, but not fucking hitscan. It takes away the challenge.

Despite my constant grumpy ramblings, I do have fun with the game, it's just apart from the shiny graphics it offers nothing to me over Tribes 2.
