Go into BF2 install folder delete PB and then use the pb installer to reinstall PB. Worked for me a while ago.

Thats almost the same as mine, minus the SSD. Have you tried putting your PC in a DMZ on your router?

There should be a option in your routers configuration menu that allows you to put your PC ouside the routers firewall. Generally called a Demilitarized zone.

That sucks. When I first got BF2, PB hated my mouse drivers so I had to buy a new mouse. Also, why are like 10 guests viewing this thread... PR isnt that popular.
Gonna lower all my settings in BF2 to see if that stops crashing.
Merk is a nice server, but I've experienced some bad lag on it when it's full, and not rubberbanding lag, but "There is a problem with your connection" lag.

I get some rubberbanding, the connection lag kills the server though. Their admins are stupid and don't know whats wrong too.

It's Alpha Networks, switching to a different provider soon. Pretty much every other option has been exhausted in terms of trying to deal with it.

Why would they buy a server from a retailer.... thats stupid unless the owner has no idea what a computer is.
Anyone that permabans for minor infractions on a game server is a obvious power-tripping retard and anybody else could do a better job in their place. I would be ashamed to be part of a community that has any of these people in it.
