Yeah. I have not laughed as much as our squad did in a long time. [editline]3rd January 2011[/editline] I saw it coming as soon as the chopper started to tilt at a 45 degree angle. [editline]3rd January 2011[/editline] Then you dropped us off at the completely wrong coords and we ended up having to hike up through some mountains and we ended up getting lost.
That was indeed hilarious.
You're not supposed to quickly go into sights are start spraying instantly.
Really, I thought the general consensus of ironsights was you use them to line up your gun then you start firing. By spraying, I mean spraying; as in a target is lined up and the shot flies off at a 20 degree angle despite my iron sights being lined up on the fucking target.
Someone up for some PR tonight then? I have polished my flying skills!
it's around 2 or 3 seconds for rifles, LMG's etc. For snipers it's 4 - 5. Markesmen rifles are around 3 .
No. Rifles are around 5 seconds, waiting about 1 second between shots, in deployed mode, marksman, and LMG are around 8 seconds to settle, and a sniper is about 8 seconds too, waiting 2 seconds between shots.
I played this. I liked it for the most part. What really fucking made me rage was the fact you needed certain kits to drive vehicles. By the time you got that kit the game was fucking over.

Ill start contribute instead of whining, so ive got a couple of stories to share. We were on a rebels vs Russians map and i was on the Russians team. I joined a sqaud with only one person due to the others being full, and it turned it he was looking for a tank crew. So i happily obliged and got the crewman kit, then got in the tank and drove it to a factory up north. We had been getting some distress calls in chat from up north, and at first we surveyed the situation from about 1000 meters on a traintrack. A tank came rolling towards us quickly and because we were only in an apc, we made a quick escape. When we made it to the factory entrance, the chat was quiet and we couldn`t hear anything..... until a foolish sqaud of rebels tried to make a great escape in a pick up truck. We killed the sqaud and moved onwards.......into the tank that we encountered earlier, which blew us up. The map was based in the middle east and i was in the USMC which were spawning from an aircraft carrier just off the coast of the country. Somehow i ended up as commander even though it was my 3rd round since installation. I did a good job overall, having a command huey ferrying me over the land and letting me access the situation first hand. However, after some time the huey was blown out of the sky, and i just about managed to survive the crash. I had a very vague idea how bandages worked, so the bleeding was only paused briefly. I had to limp around trying to find a medic, who then finally got me back to full health. Then i encountered the jerk admin i mentioned earlier on the page, so i was kicked.
Aight im up for some flying and crashing into towers again? Yer ready?
Being a transport pilot is fun until your team has a strong enough foothold to not need you. At that point, I like to try to gather up everyone in the transport squad, fit them with AR, Grenadier and AT kits and use a transport chopper as an additional CAS asset. Shit is so cash.
I used to play this, I used to fly helicopters :downs:
yesterday we had about 7-9 people playing as insurgents. half of us were mortar teaming, other half drove around. shit was cash when a marine squad ambushed us at mortars. we just ran around like idiots the rest of the round. anyone up for a game today?
When I get home.
Read the manual first or prepare to be banned in every server you attempt to play in. [editline]28th December 2010[/editline] It is the greatest mod ever.
i know it's the greatest mod ever, that's why i said it was
Awesome mod, been playing it for years now.
Admins are harsh if you're a newb. Read the manual that came with the game and you should be okay. Don't crash choppers, admins get pissy. If you are going to crash, crash with style.
the reason they get mad if you wreck hardware like choppers is because it seriously damages your tickets. There's a Russian vs. IDF map where Russians invade from the air/from the coast in BTRs/BMPs whatever else and if you can't get a point captured because the IDF keep rocking you with their Abrams, then your tickets go down to the point where it's about impossible to keep up enough to even think about winning. It's fair. It separates the men from the boys.

I would play it if it bloody worked. I spent hours downloading it despite the fact I got a fast net speed. Hours of exitement waiting for it to download. Then it doesn't work. I asked for help here a couple of times but no one helped at all. So I still have it on my computer, just in case one day I find a solution. But that solution will have to come to me since I have given up looking for one.
I usually drop a shitload of people at Factory first. The IDF have merkava's not Abbrams fyi.
yeah that
I installed it but it crashes whenever I try to start it :(
I was on that map where it's Russians vs rebels. Me and my squad where onto of a mountain looking down onto the marsh when we saw movement. We saw an enemy squad running across a strip of land just below the surface of the water. The next bit's a bit hazy, but it if i remember, i asked my squad leader if i could open fire. He told me to stay silent, and that we where going to follow them because another squad nearby had reported a large concentration of enemies nearby. We followed about a click. Until we noticed the seemed to stop and start defending a random building with a chain-link fence all around. Our squad leader all got us to pick our own targets and wait for his mark. 1....2.....3. A crack echoed through the forest, and the short battle began. Shot's where being fired everywhere. Both sides fighting for their lives. I was the medic and was sweeping my teammates alive. Suddenly, another enemy squad opened fire behind us, we where on the side of a hill, we tried to flee but got caught in an APC's way. Needless to say we where all slaughtered. I loved that, i just can't get the image out of my head of observing that squad through the brush. And thats what i come to associate PR with. Love this Mod. they're making a PR 2. A standalone game like PR 2 but better. Own engine ect.

I played this for a bit yesterday, but I had no idea what was going on. Everyone was teamkilling each other and I couldn't find any flags to capture.
Used to play it this, but I couldn't stand it at first. I played before and the only thing that happened was that my squad yelled at me the whole time because I didn't have a mic, and I basically spent 5 hours sitting on a roof/at a road waiting to ambush. [editline]7th January 2011[/editline] But that was a long time ago, I'm much more tolerant of these kind of games. Can't say I love the time I spent doing nothing though.
Can anyone get pics of the FOB? I wanna make em in Arma 2.
This game is hilarious if you play it exactly as it is not supposed to be played. A friend drove a supply truck while I shot out of the cab in the passenger seat and we had an action-movie chase with an enemy supply truck which ended with us pushing his vehicle into a puddle where it inexplicably exploded. Best moment in an online game I've had in a while.
Does anybody want to play PR?
Yeah, although I haven't really played PR much...
