Would anyone be bothered to play with me, and help me out with the mod?

I joined a clan server when it had like three people in it, all part of the clan. They taught me how to use the mortar system and shit. Everything else is pretty straightforward. Basically as infantry, just try and keep an advantage, and remember that it takes a couple seconds to get your gun "sighted in" and accurate. Practice against the bots or someshit, go into co-op and create a lan server for you to dick around against the bots, learn how to use the weapons, or join one of the servers already up.

I can show people how to play the mod, I cannot show you how to use airplanes/helicopters as my mic is broken and it requires fast reactions. But I can show you everything else... just pop me a pm or add me on steam and ask me.

What I wanna know is why the Russians don't have ANY light transport at all, not even UAZs or GAZ jeeps. If there arent any APCs or Trooptrucks its either BRDMs which you need a crewman kit for, or walking.

If there isnt anyone running transport squads (happens often) then that means one of your squadmembers will have to get a crewman kit. [editline]7th February 2011[/editline] And you cant just park the vehicle somewhere once you've used it, many servers call it asset wasting. Also if there aren't any unarmed BRDMs then you'll have to have two squadmembers using crewmen kits otherwise they'll get kicked for one manning. I haven't seen many APC transport squads recently.

I find it boring most of the time, but when something cool actually happens, then it's fucking intense, and the wave of realism and atmosphere hits you. Remember being a passenger in a Humvee, and we got ambushed. It was awesome.

I prefer Insurgency. If on blufor then grab a humvee and drive around until you get shot, 75% of the time there's a cache nearby. If on opfor then grab a supply technical if possible and go mine / IED a completely random intersection. Half the time they think a cache is in the area and waste many assets / a lot of time on it.

I thought it was pretty awesome having dedicated pilots and drivers who actually knew how to fly and gave you a lift.

A couple days ago I was on the Tactical Gamer server and I was taunting my friend over General Chat because I wiped out his squad by myself. One of the admins got butt-hurt and kicked me for Text Spamming? 8/

Just started playing this, having lots of fun, except for the "elitist" type players. You crash the 2 remaining transport helicopters on the carrier, leaving the squads without supplys or pickup for about 20 minutes and suddenly everyone hates you. Obvious sarcasm aside, I felt pretty stupid about it. My tail kept getting caught under the railing and it made me tip over the two >.> After that I managed to not die until the round end thankfully. It's just an awesome feeling flying a chopper into a blazing gunfight, where the squad had popped a smoke, picking them up and then escaping with the enemy team still firing at the spot where the squad should be.
