Didn't the developers say it took 2 weeks (real-time) to walk from one corner of the map to another.
Possibly, it is huge as hell although a lot of the open space is barren.
Considering this game has better graphics than Crysis, I'm so gonna get this. Okay, on a more serious note though, it looks nice and indie.
Daggerfall is considered rare and collectable, so be prepared to pay colletor's prices for an original copy.
Now I wish I didn't sell the game 4 years ago :(
Didn't the developers say it took 2 weeks (real-time) to walk from one corner of the map to another.
Not sure, but apparently it's 2 times the size of Great Britain. You get lost easily if you don't travel (I'll get a screenshot of the travel screen in a second.) Edit:
I give you people, the latest Daggerfall patch: http://www.uesp.net/dagger/files/dagfiles.shtml That should solve a SHITLOAD of bugs and such. No need to thank me, just trying to keep this epic game alive :D Now if only i could find my Daggerfall CD...

Edit: So is this the biggest map out of all the Elder scroll games? I don't know, I only played Morrowind and Oblivion.
Link's to DOSBOX and Daggerfall please :)?

You'd have to look on eBay or find a collector to buy it off. You could easily find DOSBox using Google. Many people consider Daggerfall to be the best Elder Scrolls game, because you could do a crap load in it, and there were so many skills you could do (including a climbing skill, to scale those walls!). Only problem with Daggerfall was that it was buggy, and obviously it's really really old. It would take Bethesda probibly a decade to recreate the scale and scope of Daggerfall with the same level of polish and visuals of Oblivion, that's how big it was and how many things you could do in it compaired to Oblivion/Morrowind :wooow:
What I find crazy is the size of the game. 63,000 square miles. I know most of it is randomly generated, but damn.
It's actually the largest world ever made in a game.
It's acctualy the largest world ever made in a game.
That's going to change pretty quickly once spore gets out.
I love this game. Infact I just got it again, but I'm getting really pissed off.. Playing the game on XP cuts off around 1/8ths of the screen (not much but still frustrating) so it's not really a good idea to play on XP. Not to mention all the bugs. DOSBox is a pain in the ass to configure and rarely works for me (just hangs on a black screen). So I guess I'm stuck without for a while. I love this game so much I'm considering getting out my old PC just to play it.

Isn't this the one that's twice the size as great britain or something and you can take ALL your clothes off? :q:
It's acctualy the largest world ever made in a game.
What about Noctis (The space exploration game). Wasn't that meant to have over two million stars to visit.
I've been looking EVERYWERE. It looks awesome, but it's so old I can't find it. They haven't released it for free yet, so i'm stuck with arena and morrowind. Please help.
