Get it off of ebay or amazon, and prepare to pay a lot. I had a megathread on it a while ago. It's in the archives now, check it out.
Oh come on people. Everyone knows he's talking about warez :downs:.
Telltolin, your avatar freaks me the FUCK OUT!
In Europe it's classed as abandonware, so if you're from Europe you can torrent it legally.
In America they still stock it, so you'd have to buy it.

Who the hell carries 12 year old PC games anymore.
I came here in the vague hope of a new Elder Scrolls game :(

Learn your Elder Scrolls history, besides, rumor has it that the new (TES 5) will be called Shadow Realm.

Agreed.
You can't call yourself a true fan of the elder scrolls games unless you've played Arena/RedGuard/Daggerfall etc.
And I'm not too keen on the name "Shadow Realm", it sounds like something from Mortal KKKKKKKombat. :sigh:
I think they should name the game after another one of the islands from in the Elder Scrolls world.
It amazes me that people can call themselves fans of TES without knowing about:
Arena, Daggerfall, Redguard, Battlespire, Morrowind and Oblivion.
I won't even start on people who've only played Oblivion.
Edit:
Exact same thing at the exact same time...
I tried playing Daggerfall, and it crashed after I took 10 steps out of the dungeon you start in. I have not played it since.

I recall Bethseda saying they were done with the Elder Scrolls series and were moving on with a new project (Fallout 3).
It's hard as hell to get running in XP, and it's possible to run it DOSBOX, but it's hella slow. You'd be best to run it on a 95 machine.
If they combined the story of Morrowind with the expansiveness of Daggerfall, they'd have the best game in the series.

It's only hella slow if you don't know shit about dosbox. If you increase your cpu cycles to around 15000-20000 (default is 3000), you will run like a dream. Or, better yet, set it to auto in the config and it will adjust itself to any situation.

I set it on auto and it still ran really slow.

Hey, I didn't know about Battlespire until like a week ago. And I've played Arena and Daggerfall before (and would still but DOSbox doesn't like Vista).

They're going to work on TES5 after Fallout 3, or so I've read.

I don't think Bethesda are going to start working Elder Scrolls V until they finish Fallout 3.
Edit:
Damn beaten.
I remember Daggerfall... bloody hated it. It went on and on and on....
I prefered Oblivion.

I tried this game, I found it very easy, I ran into dungeons and killed everything and looted etc...
It was boring after a while though :(
EDIT: Nevermind.
I never played Daggerfall but I heard about it and wanted to play it.
Many people say that Daggerfall was one of the best games made by Bethesda, too bad it's bug ridden and exspensive when it came out ($75).
This game had boobs.
I'd forgot I made this thread.

Have fun downloading.
Oh shit, forgot about the 2008 date.
Ha, didn't know how old this was until I read:
That's going to change pretty quickly once spore gets out.
Sorry to bump such an old thread, I wondered if anyone still plays it. I recently played it again and it is simply so great.
Now when you even compare it to the newer games, this one is by far one of the best. Also pretty dark and creepy.
I tried to give it a chance when I downloaded it, but I couldn't get immersed with the game because of the visuals and uncomfortable controls
I agree at first, but you can customize your controls to your liking. I just made it like Skyrim/Oblivion for me. All the keybindings work easy, you can change the mouse controls so that you can play it like an FPS. Only combat is a bit tricky but it gets so great.
The sheer size of the world map is insane.
I still play it. I had just gotten bored and got back into it a few days ago.

If you're referring to the fact that you have to look around with the cursor, there's a way to change that.
Controls -> Mouse -> View
Besides there is a terrific version on this site.
It fixes most bugs, is already optimized for newer system and lets you tinkle with the dosbox version to suit your needs. I definitely recommend it to anybody.
