Deus Ex is considered to be one of the greatest games ever made?

It still plays fine. It's better because it's old
The game gets so much better after the first couple of missions.
Once again, that is YOUR opinion, the other 98496389083458409509 believe its a masterpiece.
I assure you more people think it's bad than good

Really? Maybe you just want to believe that, but it's widely recognized as an awesome game.
It's a great game, The combat sucks at the start of the game though. standing still for ages waiting for the crosshair to get small enough to aim is annoying.
Dragon Tooth sword is awesome

Use the Stun Baton instead.

I might be wrong but I think that the guns are more accurate than the crosshair says
Pistol + Scope Mod = WIN GAME.
It makes the 10mm pistol stupidly overpowered. It actually makes it better for sniping than the sniper rifle.
Stealth pistol > everything else

I fucking did it!
I fucking hated this game a year ago since the sound was just a bunch of bleeps for speech and everything else, but i finally tried to fix it and now its actually pretty fun
It's boring and overrated.
Most people that say this game sucks are too stupid to figure out what to do or suck at the game too bad.
I didn't play this game until last year but I can still appreciate it as a well built game and the only major flaw I saw in it was the lack of autosaves
plus The Nameless Mod kicks ass
As soon as I saw the thread title, I thought "this guy is gonna get so many boxes".

Oh, you motherfucker... just kidding! I am downloading it from steam now! I must complete this game!!! (I only got on to the second level... I believe...)
System Shock 2 is better in every way
I'm with you on this one. I gave up on Deus Ex at the end of the training mission. With no way to see where enemies are during the sneaking part, it took me many tries to get through. In the end, some guy spotted me, and I just made a run for the door hoping I'd get there before he got to an alarm. And I did.
After that came a part where I had to sneak across a canal with some huge robot patrolling the area. I didn't know I had to sneak past the robot though, and it quickly blew all my limbs off. Someone was trying to talk to me over the radio. I'm sure it was useful and/or important information, but to be honest I couldn't hear a word over the gunfire (does that robot ever run out of ammo?). I managed to destroy the robot with a crowbar eventually, despite having no arms or legs, and gave up on playing it after I dragged myself to the end of the training level. Crawling certainly is slow when there's just bloody stumps where your arms and legs used to be.

The opening mission is easy.
You kids need to man up.
If you can't play through the whole of Deus Ex, you are not accepted into radioactive's fun club.
i hated deus sex
If you can't beat the training mission you all deserve to just throw away every game you own.
I know it has done a lot to the gaming genre, but god this game is so boring

Care to explain why?

How can you be with him on this one.. You haven't even started the game. You failed at training, the one part of the game you're being told exactly what to do.
Sharpe i also bought the game because i wanted to try some classics and i only had fallout 1 and 2 so i went for something different and found deus ex which is in my top 3 shooters of all time and its motha funkin awesome and i know it just my opion but i fucking love that game and seriously what were you going to expect from a game from 2001 the best AI? If so then thats pathetic. I never tried the squeal and never will cause i heard it sucked but im exited for 3
I think a lot of the people who didn't like the game were just put off by the difficulty, honestly. A lot of games used to be like this, until developers started to realize that the majority of gamers don't want a challenge anymore, they just want a quick game.
Which there isn't anything wrong with, but don't complain of a game just because you find it hard.

GEP Gun > All
can't open a door? gep gun. can't pick a lock? gep gun. hostage situation? gep gun.
