They could compete with their graphics engines, if they manage to develop new ones. Half Life 2 had extroadinary graphics even though it was released in 2004. Yes, maybe a new game engine, perhaps?

I'm sure what ever they come up with, It will be awesome, even if some people get all spoiled and try and boycott it, even though they know valve is going to carry on and release it anyway... edit: ^ yes that would be awesome

And Gordon was put into Stasis for about 20 years. So HL2 takes place in around 2021. I quit giving a shit about TF2 time when the DR was used.

People need to shut the fuck up about whether the episodes are Half-Life 3 or whatever. As soon as someone comes in a thread saying "but the episodes ARE half-life 3 :D" the thread is instantly derailed forever.

I think a HL game/series that is based around the actions an exploits of a particular rebel instead of Gordon would be kind of cool, you could have it be more "tactical", with you having far less health than in the previous games, and maybe in an entirely different city, different weapons, etc. but same HL universe. Continuing the series, but with a different gameplay style and character, kind of like what Bungie is doing with Halo: ODST.

Valve should stop making games before they over do it and become shit.

Then they start working on the next game.
