Highly unlikely, since OF wasn't canon, and the fact my friend is making a highly successful OF2 mod.
OF not canon? Blasphemy!
Only way you could say that OF wasn't canon was because Gearbox made it. There's no other reason I know of that could make it "uncanon"
Highly unlikely, since OF wasn't canon, and the fact my friend is making a highly successful OF2 mod.
OF is canon, Marc Laidlaw said so. They just arent doing anything more with sheperd.
OF is canon unless Valve decides to contradict something in which case Valve is right.
A Day of Defeat/Left 4 Dead mix! Dead 4 Defeat!
I think Valve should try making a RTS.
VALVe should take my idea for a game. Aliens using advanced technology (yet in primitive form) attack Earth. They have Laser Rifles powered by a battery, the battery needs to be recharged after every shot by pulling back on a lever. The battery is replaced after 15 shots. A similar weapon automatically recharges the battery, but needs a new battery every 5 shots. The rough skin on the aliens makes them more tolerant to projectile ammunition used by Earth's armies, but not invincible. The lasers however, cut through any body armor with ease. Summery: Basically 1 shot-kill bolt-action rifles vs Weaker fully-automatic assault rifles.

Gameplay will be large Battlefield 2 style maps with vehicles and strategic points and all. However another gamemode will be more Counter-Strike style last-man-standing fights in smaller more detailed locales. [editline]01:03AM[/editline] Ack, those posts weren't their a second ago when I refreshed the page... [editline]01:10AM[/editline]
Thats more of a weapon, then again..... yea it is a weapon
Perhaps I didn't explain it too well. 2 teams. 1 Aliens, 1 Humans. Aliens have the laser rifles I mentioned, Humans have normal assault rifles. Alien weapons are all about accuracy and power. Human weapons are all about rate of fire and magazine size.
Back to the OIFY with you.
No, back to the OIFY with you!
Prospero definitely.
Sadly an MMO seems quite likely, what with the steam community integration, random drops in TF2, the fact that Gabe plays WoW in his spare time, the increasing amount of subscription based MMOs on steam.
I wonder what will be EP3's box
The Matchbox.
TF2 has connections with the mysterious TF industries and Spytech Industries, which, according to speculations, are linked to Black Mesa and/or Aperture Science. It's also said that CS:S is either before HL1, or a simulation program used by Aperture. It's just what I heard here and there from different persons though.
Keyword: Speculation.
