I wasn't suggesting that he wasn't. His equipment would certainly be in excellent condition but it wouldn't provide much protection from alien weaponry even at its best and guns usually have the edge on bladed weapons. The only advantage a samurai might have here is the perspective that they're trapped in some kind of castle. Like surroundings they're used to seeing but in a different style.
This game is horrible. Short, glitchy guns, horrible AI, stupid story (by "stupid," I mean short), doesn't give you that, "cool game" feel when the game ends, and it's 50 bucks when i bought it. DLC's were problematic. I stopped getting them after the second one, thought they're a waste of time + money. I thought since this game was made by Bethesda, one of my favorite game companies. I have Morrowing + Oblivion and all their expansions + DLC's, and i'd say they're quite worth your money. Fallout 3 is a different story. They should've wasted their time making Elder Scrolls V instead of Fallout 3. All in all, Oblivion beats Fuckout 3 10-fold.
Get the fuck out.
Well you can shoot people in the head 5 times without killing them so I don't think Bethesda cares abour realism too much. v:frown:v
Get the fuck out.
I agree with the stupid story, reaaaally agree.

But if it's anything larger than a 10mm Pistol it's usually 1 shot.
Not on my game. 2 times, max, 3 if it's a really shitty gun like the .32 revolver.
Still, if a head can survive 2-3 bullets I'm sure the armour can do better.
That's still the case with all of the DLC with the exception of Broken Steel which adds a healthy amount of content to the actual Wasteland. You never return to Anchorage (and will most likely never return to the Mothership) and the only big difference with The Pitt is whether or not there are Pitt Raiders hanging around. Going back there feels like wandering around a film set having already starred in the production. There's nothing left to do apart from repeatable fetch quests, the ammo press and gawking at the steelyard. Really, it suffers from too many grey vs. grey choices, like getting the ghouls into Tenpenny Tower. They should have done more with the leadership dynamics seen in previous games which barely register here, like how Sheriff Simms and Moriarty seem to have Megaton divided on who to follow. The political spat between Seagrave Holmes and Banon just felt petty: either way, nothing changed apart from the prices of a store whose owner is never at the stall and a vendor who doesn't have anything I want.
It's been stated more than once that you CAN return to the ship.
It's been stated more than once that you CAN return to the ship.
Like you can return to the Pitt? Going back was like wandering onto a film set where the script is finished and the director hasn't said cut yet. Awkward for all the lack of change from the main quest and boring for want of things to do apart from hunt steel ingots for useless weapons and armour. After killing everything aboard the mothership what could possibly be worth coming back aboard for?
Anyone have a mod that adds a person to repair to 100%? I've got one in a little base addon thing but it keeps crashing when i try and enter it and i'm about to go batty

They've mentioned it can work like a house, and there is supposedly a machine at the ship which will repair anything by 25% free of charge.

Every indication so far is that Mothership Zeta was built for fighting in as opposed to living in. I mean for the sake of argument it's possible to live under the lighthouse after finishing the main quest of Point Lookout but it's not at all practical. Besides, it's going to be a real bugger finding a human-sized bed let alone a liveable room which hasn't been outfitted for human vivisection or captivity.
Bah, is anyone else getting BSODs in this game with the latest 190.38 Nvidia drivers? I keep getting them.

That's the main reason I didn't commandeer any of the shacks or houses in the pitt or point lookout.' [editline]09:26AM[/editline] You guys that talk about having armour that's too awesome already... Try doing what I do sometimes. Walk out into the wastes with no armour, no weapons and no chems. It's actually quite a lot of fun working your way back up again and, if you don't like it, you can just go back to your hideout and grab all your old gear. I personally have so many conductors and steam gauge assemblies, as well as money, that I don't really loot people anymore unless they have a good gun that I can use to repair my gun.
Looks like EVERYTHING in this DLC haves new models. Unlike the past DLC where some of the armor, weapons, and creatures are just reskins. Hence, that is why this mod is going to be the best ever.
Well they do take pride on the DLC having only 5% reused things
Bah, is anyone else getting BSODs in this game with the latest 190.38 Nvidia drivers? I keep getting them.
Can anyone confirm this before i install these drivers?

Don't tell me it's impossible, you would enjoy it too. :smug:
Looking for some help, i recently recruited dogmeat until he died and now his ragdoll body keeps spawning next to me everywhere i go, ive tried resurrecting him but then he just walks off in the opposite direction and when he gets 10 metres away he spawns next to me again. Is there a way i can just get rid of dogmeat for good?
Just bought Mothership Zeta from wal-mart... dosen't it come out tuesday? I'm gonna see if it works!
How the hell did you buy it from Wal mart? What you probably bought was a 800 Microsoft Points card labled to use for Mothership Zeta when it comes out Monday.
Looking for some help, i recently recruited dogmeat until he died and now his ragdoll body keeps spawning next to me everywhere i go, ive tried resurrecting him but then he just walks off in the opposite direction and when he gets 10 metres away he spawns next to me again. And you can't buy Mothership Zeta in shops, unless it is the unreleased GOTY Edition of the game.

[editline]09:10AM[/editline]
Oh, Star Paladin Cross died during my attack on the mobile Enclave base during Broken Steel. I resurrected her, but she ran off or something. So later, I tried to recruit other companions, but they refused because they said I already have one. So I try to find Cross by teleporting to her and it had taken me to some random point near the mobile Enclave base but Cross was nowhere to be seen.
She Probably resurrected underground.
Wasn't it the appearance of early firearms that made armour like that obsolete? Come to think of it, this and the Gemini-Era space suit are bound to have terrible damage resistance. Unless they come up with some serious handwaving, none of these armours sound like they'll be worth keeping over anything weaker than leather.
Well...seeing as they let slip about going on a spacewalk, i doubt the spacesuit will be completely useless.
By the way, check THIS out, it's a super cool little alien UFO house thing that I find really amusing

What the....?
What the hell, my fallout 3 won't install because of cyclic redundancy check. My disk doesn't have one scratch on it, either.

How do I get to the expansion packs?
