Should I have gotten point lookout instead of broken steel?
Try to get both, they both add interesting things that you wouldn't want to miss.
I love this game, but what I hate about this and Oblivion that the distances you have to walk TAKE WAY TOO LONG. Thank god I have a long attention span otherwise I wouldn't play the game.
I suggest to stay away from FOOK 1.6. It's buggy and the textures are shit. Wait for FOOK 2.0
Can I make a stereotypical 80s black man with an afro? Or will I need mods to do this? I'm dead serious about this.

You know there is a fast travel option right?
You know there is a fast travel option right?
When I played Oblivion when it first came out, I facepalm'd myself realizing I could of saved so much time fast traveling.
Can't wait for Mothership Zeta, looks pretty fun. Point Lookout and Broken Steel really had me going.

Fallout 3 doesn't really require something beefy, you just need a decent dual core, like an Athlon 4600+ or a Pentium D Dual Core, an NVIDIA 9500/ATI HD 3650 or anything similar to it.
I have 20$ to my name
so yeah
also Athlon 3800+
NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE could I run it

You honestly made me want to re-install the game just to check.

You need mods to get afros.

I can play on high settings with a single core
:frogc00l:
I personally hate the FOOK, seeing people walk around wearing guns n roses t shirts is just stupid to me. I recommend downloading only part 3 (or maybe it was 2) of the FOOK and only extracting the sound folder, as the weapon and explosion sounds are way better than vanilla, but the rest of the mod is not.

That processor is good enough, that video card, yeah seems to be the problem, try to save up $40 more and get yourself a new video card.

That is why I made my mod a non replacer, so you don't see people walking around in stupid clothes.

Link please? Also if there's a suit with funky flowers and stuff on it that would be useful too.

Great I want it too.
Here's a quick concept of what I want:

But even more funky
I must be missing something here. What's so special about dog meat? It doesn't heal that much, it's irradiated (like everything else), and it doesn't sell for much. What's the big deal?
I haven't played fallout 3 since point lookout came out, probably not gonna play again until mothership zeta comes out.

-_-
Dogmeat is your companion/pet/thing

Just a normal item used to get a few extra caps or a desperate healing item, that's all, we can't all have super expensive and powerful items in a game now do we? :v:

He meant the actual dog named dogmeat you can get as a companion
Oh. I was unaware of such a dog. Odd considering how much I've looked into this game.
I really love playing fallout 3 and I dunno what all the URRG IT SUCKS SO MUCH opinions are all about.
One question tho concerning the DLC stuff. I'm pretty far into the game but I haven't completed it. How does DLC like for example The Pitt or Broken Steel affect my game? Some seem to be complely new games like Point Lookout but Broken Steel looks like a mod of some sorts. Does it just kick in and change everything?

The Guns n Roses t-shirts are the only real world references though. (except for Atlas Shrugged)
3 questions.
1. Does radiation actually affect you at all? According to the game I've got mild radiation poisoning, had it for a few in-game days now, but nothing has happened.
2. When in your house, can you just leave shit lying around or will it disappear if it's not in a locker?
3. How long do things last in the wasteland. I know when I started the game I threw a shitload of stuff into a dumpster because it was slowing me down. And today (probably at least an in-game week and a half) I went back for the first time and it was still there.
