3 questions.
1. Does radiation actually affect you at all? According to the game I've got mild radiation poisoning, had it for a few in-game days now, but nothing has happened.
2. When in your house, can you just leave shit lying around or will it disappear if it's not in a locker?
3. How long do things last in the wasteland. I know when I started the game I threw a shitload of stuff into a dumpster because it was slowing me down. And today (probably at least an in-game week and a half) I went back for the first time and it was still there.
1. It usually doesn't do much until you get a ton
2. Pretty sure you can leave it lying around.
3. I think you can leave it there forever.
You know there is a fast travel option right?
When going to a place for the first time is what i meant.
Fallout 3 is probably my favourite game ever. So much damn content, and even more coming out. There's so much to do and collect and I still don't get bored of it.
The only thing I dislike about it is the amount of bugs. My Head of State quest is screwed up, bad. After defeating the slavers at Lincoln Memorial I went back to the Temple of the Union to tell Hannibal that it was safe, but he'd gone halfway to DC and got killed by a Radscorpion. I quickloaded and it didn't happen, but now I'm at the memorial, apparently meeting the Union there, I go to exactly where the objective marker is and it's on the corner of the street a hundred metres from the memorial, and nothing happens.

That happens, sometimes he doesn't make it.
Try waiting a week or so, he should show up at the marker, unless he's dead.
I'm a little confused about what patch I should install. I heard that 1.5 breakes a lot of mods. Does 1.6 fix that? And does Fose work with 1.6?
Are there any mods that make the enemies (or at least human enemies) easier to kill? Because it gets annoying when you have to empty a whole clip into someone's head to kill them.
I personally hate the FOOK, seeing people walk around wearing guns n roses t shirts is just stupid to me. I recommend downloading only part 3 (or maybe it was 2) of the FOOK and only extracting the sound folder, as the weapon and explosion sounds are way better than vanilla, but the rest of the mod is not.
I have never seen anyone walk around with a stupid T-Shirt on in FOOK, ever.
I have 20$ to my name
so yeah
also Athlon 3800+
NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE could I run it
Well I have a 6150 LE right now and it won't run it to save my life.

I second this statement. FOOK is a really great mod.
I really love playing fallout 3 and I dunno what all the URRG IT SUCKS SO MUCH opinions are all about.
One question tho concerning the DLC stuff. I'm pretty far into the game but I haven't completed it. How does DLC like for example The Pitt or Broken Steel affect my game? Some seem to be complely new games like Point Lookout but Broken Steel looks like a mod of some sorts. Does it just kick in and change everything?
Operation Anchorage adds a new location to a point you've probably never been to before, where you go to a little undergeound military base and are put an a little virtual reality chamber. The Pitt adds a train tunnel and guy to the top of the wasteland, which you go through to reach The Pitt. Broken Steel expands the levelled lists after you get to level 20 and adds new quests which take place after the main quest ends. Point lookout adds a ferry you can ride on to get to Point Lookout. So generally, you won't see them unless you seek them out, apart from Broken Steel in certain areas.

1.6 is acres better than the shit that was 1.5. I'm not sure about the mod breaking part, but I think it works better with mods than 1.5, and yes, the FOSE v1 beta works with 1.6.
Here's a quick concept of what I want:

But even more funky
God fucking damn find this guy an afro.
The only mods that don't work with 1.6 are the ones that the developers were too lazy to update.
Basic impression of the DLCs:
Anchorage - Awesome Chinese armor and Gauss Rifle, but it's short and you can't revisit the simulation.
The Pitt - The only good things are the Autoaxe and going back to the Pitt to fight more trogs. Everything else is meh.
Broken Steel - Very VERY useful. Adds a shitload more items, side-quests, quests, and a typical good or evil ending (I preferred the evil ending because it's more action packed).
Point Lookout - The enemies are hard, the main and side quests are easy to plow through and some of the weapons are okay. The real prize is the double barrel shotgun, the axe, shovel, and the gas canisters are okay though.
Mothership Zeta - Skeptical. What happens if you beat the DLC? You might not go back into space anymore, just like Anchorage.
What this game needs:
A final FINAL ending - Sure, Broken Steel was all right and all, but I want to really tie up the loose ends. Let's say, that I want to be reunited with Amata and live a peaceful life with her in a good ending (if I managed to not kill everyone in Vault 101 during the Homefront quest). But in a bad ending, I get to live a evil life in my own slave trading state.
Commonwealth - It has been referenced so many damn times in the game and in the DLCs. So I'm going to expect a retail expansion or else.

Yeah, I want to be able to go back to Vault 101 at some point. Just opening the vault door is one of the most awesome things ever, and being kicked out after saving the vault from certain doom was a real kick in the teeth.
Amata can't possibly appear again in a DLC. [sp]A random encounter after completing the return to 101 quest sees her being interrogated by a bunch of Enclave, and approaching them or opening fire will cause Amata to be shot. On my way to the Pitt's Train Tunnel for the first time, I saw a few idle soldiers up a hill, so I went into VATS, scanned the targets and went "holy shit it's Amata". I fired at the Enclave guys and didn't see where Amata went, but checking the goo pile on the floor found a Vault 101 jumpsuit. :P[/sp]
I would love to see an expansion with the Commonwealth. It might be good if they made Broken Steel 2 or something, which requires the first one. It could involve something like [sp]joining the Enclave if you bombed the Citadel, going to visit Doctor Li again, or even joining the Brotherhood Outcasts and betraying Lyons. Some epically awesome resolution would go down nicely, perhaps either causing the wasteland to be completely revived OR nuking it again.[/sp]
It's [sp][/sp].
KEke..
What the hell?
MOTHERSHIP ZETA
Why haven't i heard about it yet? :(
It hasn't been released yet.
Fantastic game, but it doesn't live up to Fallout 1 and 2.

[sp]That part is only when you sabotage the power in Vault 101 or something.[/sp]
going to visit Doctor Li again
Agreed, I hope that her leaving the capital wasteland was a setup for an expansion in the commonwealth rather than the fact that they couldn't get the voice actor again.
:S I'm confused on where to buy the DLC's
I mean, when i go on live, it says download for Xbox 360 but I have fo3 for pc
I just had an encounter with my first Ghould Ravager, killed me a couple of times.
I have never seen anyone walk around with a stupid T-Shirt on in FOOK, ever.
Maybe it was removed in a later release, but go to Tenpenny tower, with the FOOK a lot of the residents were wearing them.

I'm guessing Games for Windows Live.
Does anyone know a way of finding out the item ID of an item that as added in a mod? Is there any tool that can do that?

It did change the pre war clothes, but they're not really any better or worse, just cleaner.

I'm pretty sure that if you select the esp in the G.E.C.K and hunt through the item lists you'll find it somewhere, and it should have the ID somewhere in its properties.
I cant wait for Point Lookout.
