Young slitheen.
I'm disappointed in how they displayed the Enclave, they should be psychotic, not evil. Hell, I remember situations where you can have Enclave personnel join your side in Fallout 2.
My arsehole still hurts after MZ
Damn thing keeps cutting out on me. Granted, there are apparently 10,000 users using the DC server at the moment.
Hopefully things calm down in the next week or so.
Try different headphones/speakers?
you should try http://wegame.com/, I like it a lot better than xfire.
I think it has to do with the sound card.
I found a way to record sound, but I have to use a loop cable so i don't get to hear anything myself.
Also Wegame is awesome, 'cept it won't work for me in GTA4 or arma2.
I've found Deep Eyes, but Red Spectacles is impossible to find.
Hah. Not very decent
Yeah, because the quality is so poor. Unless you're talking about the fact he's lagging really bad in that video
No just the xfire thing was very buggy for me when I used it. Before fraps and all that
Well, that's just you, I guess. It works for me and everyone else I know.
Okay than, don't have to tell me because it doesn't really matter.
On another note. Both archivist videos are done but I need to put voices on them

Must have been a server glitch. It went back to 300 or so after about an hour.
Stopped playing this game because of the lagginess, which was pretty much unplayable with my X2 4000+.
Bought myself an E7400 and the performance gain is really superb with NFS Undercover and TF2. Shall i give this game another try?
(What is this game hungry for? CPU or GPU?)

GPU for the most part, CPU just makes the game load longer in between if you have a weaker one. If you have a Nividia card try different driver versions. Some of the newer ones lag the hell out of my laptop and make it unplayable no matter what setting its on

No wonder TF2 takes forever to load on my single core :frown:

The Enclave don't really seem as bad as they used to be. I can't remember if it was Fallout 1 or Fallout 2, but at the opening cinematic, a vault door opens and a bunch of vault dwellers wave at Enclave soldiers, then the Enclave just tear them down.
I finished Mothership Zeta and all I got was this lousy stuff.

I know, but that's being more psychotic than evil.
Gunning down an entire vault to get something is crazy, going in and politely asking, only to double cross them and then gun them down is just plain evil.
(I know they didn't gun down the entire vault, they threw Deathclaws at them.)
For some reason my game keeps throwing Enclave Vertibirds at me and a lot of the time they crash into the mountains and explode :/

Now I want to massacre an entire vault using Deathclaws.
I'm on my first play though and I think I screwed with the story progression a tad bit.
I was on the first story quest, which is to find the Galaxy News broadcasting station. I was just randomly wandering around, and found [sp]Vault 112[/sp] and completed that quest a little before I should have. Now, [sp]dear ol' Dad seems to to going "back" to Rivet City, but since I screwed around with the progression, I've never even heard of Rivet City. Also, something about "Project Purity", which I've also never heard of.[/sp]
So, am I OK? Or should I reload from before this point?

You're fine. You can just go straight to [sp]Vault 112[/sp]. If you can't find Rivet City, it should be at the far right bottom of your map. It's a giant ship, it's hard to miss. Oh and the GNR mission is just so that you can hear the radio from anywhere. Unless you do that, you can only hear it from about Super Duper Mart and downtown DC.

Good to hear. I wonder if completing the [sp]Vault 112[/sp] quest made it so that I could hear the radio.

Nope. You have to complete the quest for Three Dog to repair the dish that transmits the radio signal. There's a speech option for him before the quest, he'll give you the key to a stash of ammo and a few weapons. It's not much though.
Thinking of buying FO 1/2. Which one is better in your opinions? Which should I buy first (Probably 1 but might aswell ask anyway). Thxs a bunch.

If you're in it for the story, start with 1 then get 2. If you want more items and weapons, more followers, more quests, and overall more content, start with 2. Also, I think there's a pack containing 1, 2, and Tactics floating around for around $20, so I recommend you just get that.

Well then, off to GNR it is.

If you want a funny, dark, rich experience, try Fallout 2.
If you want the game that started it all, lacking the charm or fun of Fallout 2 but still having that, well, something, then go with Fallout.
In other words, Fallout 2 is the way to go (you can potentially get a random encounter involving the Bridgekeeper from Monty Pythons Holy Grail, for God's sake.)

I've heard Fallout 1 has more character and charm, and that Fallout 2 relied a bit too much on cultural references. But I've never played either, so whatever.
I saw that Fallout 1/2/Tactics pack today, and I almost bought it. Now I wish I had.

Already red up on the FO1 story and I've beaten FO3 so wont be much of a problem. Thanks mate.
