I saw a dead Enclave Officer, with 3 unarmed Enclave Soldiers in Power Armor (no helmets). They were also friendly (or at the very least, non-hostile).
I tried to talk to them but all I got back was "I've got no time for wasteland scum like you" in a very angry tone of voice.

I also saw a Vertibird land and drop off a squad of Enclave Soldiers while Fawkes and I were in a heated battle with Super Mutants. It didn't get back out though, a Super Mutant Master took it down with a Missile Launcher as it flew overhead.

I do believe the last two you posted Someguy are random events. I've had them happen, actually I once was fighting the super mutants, they dropped off some soldiers, I let them fight it out for a bit, and then another Vertibird dropped another group of soldiers into the mix.

Also, you wouldn't have happened to have cheated your way up there would you? Usually that guy is pushed over the ledge, or pushes some other person over it.

Well, I was checking out that mine that's down that rock and I saw the friendly NPC icon pointing to there. I didn't want to run all around the rock to check out what's up there, so I just noclipped there.
I'm having a problem with broken steel...
It says it's loaded when I start up the game, but it doesn't add on the storyline.
It loads up the areas, as I "accidentaly" got into the car tunnel in the northwest corner, and was greeted by liberty prime kicking ass, but the the storyline remains the same.
I got RL-3 with me, and he is able to activate the puryfier (even fallout wiki says so), but instead I get the standard [quote]Soldier, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. This is your fight! You gotta finish what your daddy started! Stand strong and get your ass in there[/quote] but according to the wiki: [quote]Like Fawkes and Charon, if Broken Steel is installed before starting Take it Back!, RL-3 can be ordered to go into the control chamber and activate the purifier. I really want to play on after the main quest. Before I patched to 1.7 it would just crash after the story video plays, but now it just sends me to main menu.

This is caused by some mods, just unload your mods when you complete it, and load them up later.

Yeah, simply noclip back to the bottom of that ledge and you should see a body flying over.
I sent Fawkes into the chamber.
Before he simply told me I had to do it as it was my fate. However with Broken Steel, he said that I had altered his fate by saving him, and he will do the same for me.

Yeah, I'm not much of a fighter in fallout, I prefer the storyline.
Seeing the head splats by a missile in slow motion is good enough for me.
Sending in a companion to activate the purifier doesn't seems very rewarding when you have Broken Steel installed.

Lincoln's Repeater can be repaired with Hunting Rifles. The ammo isn't too bad. Do you have the Scrounger perk? I packrat ammo anyway since it weighs nothing, so by the time I got the repeater I already had around 1000 rounds for it. I stock up at traders every once in a while, but I don't often drop below 500 rounds. I found that microwave emitter too, was meaning to try it out because I thought it might work the same way as the Messer.
Also, that axe you get from the ghoul safari, The Dismemberer or something, does that have a script assigned to it, as it seems like a pretty standard axe? I can imagine it causing Bloody Mess like effects on killing blows though. Or perhaps it does extra damage to limbs.

I've tried everything I think the internet has to offer in terms of solving this problem. So, now I turn to this place for advice. Does anyone know of a fix to this problem, or am I doomed to not being able to traverse alot of the game indoor areas? Not to mention I can't even advance the main quest due to this problem... :sigh:
I was thinking about naming my new evil character Jessica Alba and have her smartness at 1 and luck at 10 and etc.

So, whenever you enter an interior cell, the game crashes?
I had this intermittently after I first installed the game. Never did tie down what was causing it, but I updated my graphics drivers and cleaned the dust out of my case. Everything was cool after that (both literally and figuratively).
