then i dunno
Fallout 3 always randomly crashes whenever I play. I can't find ffdshow and have no mods activated. Also it freezes my computer every time I try to quit. It's like Fallout 3 doesn't want to be loved.
Bethesda Games love to do that for me since Oblivion.
Ahh, opening the edit box then immediately saving changes fixed it.
That is really wierd...
So they lock me in a room and expect me to activate the Purifier. Okay, but just one little problem. I don't have the fucking code! 'The fuck do I do know?

Hmm, I got my old saves to work from my old machine, but I've had this problem since the old game, I can't go into thirdperson no matter what, and I want to be able to take a picture of myself :( [editline]09:13PM[/editline] I also fixed the console bug.
Want to know what pisses me off? We can't side with the Enclave. I can't really describe how pissed I am about that.

Well its cool but add some more info
The steel is broken.
Broken Steel.
Broken Steel has you side with the Brotherhood of Steel, you have NO CHOICE but to wipe out the Enclave at not only [sp]various installations to reach their base of operations[/sp] but you also destroy the Enclave at [sp]Adams Air Force Base[/sp] in fact, you have no choice but to call an [sp]orbital strike[/sp] on the [sp]mobile HQ Crawler[/sp]. [sp]Targeting The Citadel and destroying that just means you destroyed The Enclave AND The Brotherhood of Steel Lyons Pride division.[/sp] Whoop-Dee-Fucking-Doo. Want me to explain to you what my idea of a better conclusion would have been?
Guys I need help finding some interesting new mods. You see, I've used fook, mmm, xfo, explosive entry(or whatever that is), Real Time Settler, the well known mods, etc. I put Fallout 3 on the shelf for a few months hoping that when I came back, new awesome mods would be there. Instead, I got an updated fook, mmm, xfo, rts, the well known mods updated, etc. That and 1001 new gun packs(like I care...). What I'm looking for are mods that add new elements to gameplay, not just tweaks them or adds guns. RTS is a good example, but I already know about that one, the bullet time mod is another cool one. Anybody got any good ones? and no, I don't want wasteland player
Pssh. Fallout 2 is obviously superior because their gameplay is bar none and beats FO3 at every turn. 95% to hit: MISS 95% to hit: MISS 95% to hit: MISS 95% to hit: MISS 95% to hit: MISS 95% to hit: MISS 95% to hit: MISS Out of Action Points Alien critically hits you for 90 points! You have died, not even caravans are interested in your corpse.
I assume that you have SLI in your graphics card(s)? Turn them on in you NVidia control panel if they're off. What mods do you have in FO3? What settings do you use?
I can't seem to use anything other than the low configuration without noticeable performance issues, which as you can tell with my hardware, definitely isn't normal. I have a few mods, but it's nothing that changes textures or would increase the workload. I also have the SLI on, I believe. I'm not sure where I can check, though, in the control panel. Another note, I have good performance UNTIL I got into VATS or fire a weapon. Then the FPS dramatically drops and stays that way.

for sum reason whenever i try to save or leave the first satallite after the liberty prime incident fo3 crashes on me in broken steel [editline]04:47PM[/editline]
Why should I appreciate something I don't like? I'm not crying, no one is, the only people being faggy fan boys are you. I don't praise Fallout 2, its the second best in the series, it still good, but no where near as good as the first one, but at least FO3 is better then Fallout:POS. when I first played FO3 I loved it, but after removing my rose tinted glasses I saw it for what it really was....Oblivion. :smug: you guys have fun with your game, I will leave you in peace. (User was banned for this post ("thread shitting" - Spork-Juct))
Well that's great I loved Oblivion. :smug:
It was pretty funny because the first time I went in to the end, I was like [sp]"Okay, I'll deactivate it and they'll let me out." So I chugged all of my Rad-X and walked in. I couldn't find the deactivation panel. I walked around the entire place, trying to find it, just to die from the radiation. Then I finally found it, and I pressed the code and was all angry when the screen started dying. On a related note, I also once told Colonel Autumn that the code was 2-1-6, thinking that no matter what I told him, it'd be wrong, seeing as I had no idea at the time what the code was. Boy, I was pretty surprised.[/sp]
I wish the scene where we meet President Eden had more options. Instead of destroying Raven Rock and crippling the Enclave, we should have had an option to make the President (and thus, the Enclave) work with us. Then with the Enclave practically under your control, we could just order the troops at the Purifier to stand down. Oh, and we could have Colonel Autumn executed.
I wish alliances hadn't been fixed, but then I suppose that would have completely ruined the main story, broken steel and the silly rigid Karma system. Don't get me wrong I love Fallout3 and I intend on getting the final DLC too, I just find some of it a bit forced. In my opinion Karma should have been relative to groups, i.e. Kill a BOS and they'd be aggressive while the enclave wouldn't mind/would welcome you. That'd open up the door to all sorts of extra quests which could allow you to gain groups trust. Of course I'm just rambling now, something like this would majorly restructure the game and is highly unlikely to happen.

Yea something like that would've been cool.
Has anyone felt the same as me on this? I've just recently broken 120 hour mark and done almost everything you can do in fallout including DLCs, (minus a few locations) and I was thinking to my myself that I would NEVER want to replay the game and have to get all the things I got in my first playthrough. :v
I was just thinking about that and then it hit me... I forgot to get the god damned bobble head from raven rock. Fuck.
argh. Ever since i've had W7 fallout 3 only works vanilla, no mods, no patches. RIGHT after i install a mod or patch it freezes on startup. Does anyone know why it does this?
Here's Bethesda's ideas on Fallout 3: Hey guys, let's make the Enclave like, pure evil and unjoinable, and every time you try to help them (even though, in the long run, it will help humanity) let's make the result more trouble then it's worth! After all, wouldn't you have to be evil to think of destroying mutation in order for the world to get back in order? Also, the Brotherhood of Steel? Hmm, they were an uncaring Technoreligious organization in the previous Fallouts, I know! Let's make them omnibenevolent and wanting to help everyone no matter what! Better yet, even if you do everything they want you to, it will be worthless (Outcasts sent out a message to the higher-ups on the West Coast, no matter what the Lyons Pride at The Citadel is going to be forcibly removed.) Also, how can we possibly assault a fortified position guarded by hundreds of Enclave soldiers who have more equipment, and more advanced weapons/armor? I know! Let's make a quite literal Deus Ex Machina of "We can't hope to assault that position, we only have 6 men, I KNOW! We just so happen to have an invulnerable robotic super-sidekick that somehow recognizes US as Americans, and the Enclave as Red Chinese Communists!" I can go on and on.
