Which is the best? "Dante's Inferno" vs "God Of War"

I still like love Dante's Inferno. Such a good game.
I am all for God of War. The story is really fantastic.
I played and finished both and i have to say, God of War III is way better than Dante's Inferno, but i think Dante's Inferno have a better story. GoW3 was just "RageRageRevengeRevenge" until the last boss battle.
I never liked God of War.

Then you don't like manliness and excessive gore.

aka "get out"
Kratos is way more badass than Dante, enough said.

The emotion Kratos seems capable of feeling is anger. Dante can at least feel something else.
They both have bewbs. :downs:
Kratos had chains welded into his skin by Ares. Dante carved a timeline to all of his sins BY HIMSELF on his chest.
God of War. I think this should have been obvious enough.
Well if the gods start fucking with you and betray you after one of them tricks you into killing your wife and child, (whose ashes fuse into your skin reminding you of them every waking moment of every day) rage and vengeance might be on your mind as well.
Also, God of War has a much larger wow factor (watch the opening battle on Youtube).
But god of war its just RageRageRage. Dante go into hell just for her gf

Well to be fair the reasoning for going to hell and back in both games is similar (family/gf taken by the gods, more or less) Kratos just doesn't have the option of getting his family back by brute force, so he's pretty much forced to kick everyone's asses until the gods give them back... or at least that's the idea. In reality it's mostly just revenge.
Also Kratos doesn't ALWAYS rage (Chains of Olympus) but it does seem to be a common theme.
God of War. I feel sorry for those who bought Dante's Inferno.
Hairy bum.
God of War.
Comeon man, Kratos kills god in Olympus.
Dante kills in hell.
I'll rather go kill gods then dead people that is dead already.

Listen to this dude, he's got a Phd in killing people that is dead already. He knows how it is
Let me see...
Kill Satan (How many times has this been done?)
Or kill Zeus, god of gods. Creator of Satan (That was an assumption).
I've never killed Satan in any game before (Cyber Demon =/= Satan)
If I recall; False Savior in Devil May Cry is pretty much Satan.
So 1 time is too many? I'm confused by your logic.
D1S summed it up perfectly over on the Gamespot forums:
"Though it's very open to interpretation, it can be easily argued that Dante never "accomplished anything," with the exception of saving Beatrice's soul. I don't think he defeated Lucifer. I think Lucifer led him to believe that he did in order to escape The Inferno as he travelled into purgatorio with Dante.
We are led to believe that Dante did not defeat death, but that he himself died a sinner. As such, Dante fell entirely under Lucifer's power. Once dead (unknown to Dante), Lucifer came to him under the guise of being death in order to fuel Dante's return home. To paraphrase Dante: "I will not let those I love be condemned for my sins." Dante believes he defeated death, and then returns home just in time to see Beatrice be dragged into the Inferno. Dante naturally pursues her. Even sewing the tapestry to his chest took place after Dante died, which leads me to believe that seeing as how the tapestry morphed into a serpant at the end of the game, stitching the clothe to his chest was all a part of Lucifer's plan to escape the Inferno.
Speculation, I know. What we do know is that when it appeared that Satan was defeated, he dissolved the scythe. If he could do so in his "weakened" state, he most likely could have done so all along, but chose not to. Just another example that he was most likely manipulating Dante all along.
Back on point: I think Kratos would be the victor. As far as I know, Dante was only a "bad ass," because Lucifer allowed him to be in order to be freed. Kratos took on very pissed off Hades, the Lucifer of Kratos' universe, while there were no illusions about whether or not Hades was trying to kill him, or simply manipulating him to other ends...Hades wanted to destroy Kratos."
Also, Kratos had a chance to reunite with his family in Chains of Olympus, but instead chose to save humanity.
I'm pretty sure he defeated Death. Death is just shown to you when you die to take you to in this case Charon and beyond.
A shade who isn't taken by death will remain a ghost (Dante).
He also did defeate Lucifer. He absolved him, although - I do not believe you can really kill an Angel fallen or not. So Lucifer is probably alive in some sense
depends which GoW game you're comparing imo
God of War 3 is a piece of shit to me and Dante's inferno was a decent game, but the rest of the series is fine
Because I've played GOW and liked it alot more than the 10 mins I played of DI in a store

Dante's Inferno has GIANT bewbs. :smug:
Never played God of War, never had an interest in it, so I voted Inferno because I've played it.
You still play Blockland Yuki?
Also, I haven't played GOW3 (broken PS3) and I already know it's better.

Although I agree that Dante did kill death, the same cannot be said for Satan. At the end of Dante's Inferno, when Dante rips off the cross he sewn into himself, it turns into a snake and you can clearly hear Satan laughing. This shows the Satan is still alive and is with Dante in Purgatory.
But I did say he was dead, but not completely. He'll probably only be a catalyst for things. Not a antagonist.
