Single player games aren't selling as well as Multiplayers like Call of Duty or Battlefield
Don't copy that floppy!
Make DRM less intrusive(Steam and Secu-rom should be ditched as DRM, CD-keys and CD-checks are fine), lower the prices a little(around 10€ price drop is fine), the game should be released finished(fix all CTD bugs and iron out most, if not all glitches and bugs). The biggest problem is the intrusive DRM. The high prices just stop me from buying games as often.
The Gamer's Bill of Rights is pretty much what I want. The game companies treat its customers like garbage and reward pirating, that marketing strategy is a little... strange?
Edit: To the guy comparing this to the cars: At least you can test the car out before you buy it and you can be pretty sure it won't explode while driving it and that it works properly, if it doesn't then you can return it. With games if the product is faulty(for example the game doesn't run) you've just wasted 60€ on a faulty product and can't return it. Also I haven't ever heard of a car that requires you to verify your ID every week to the car's manufacturer to make sure you didn't steal it.
How can you say no to this?
That blew my mind.
Is it free on 360? Can anyone confirm this?
If it is, I'm sooo fucking buying the game as soon as I get well.
This is soo epic, that it isn't even funny anymore.

And? I had a blast on COD4 MP, that was pirated.
The game was sold out everywhere and now I finally found a store that has this game. Going to buy it alongside with FEAR 2 as I get well.
There goes another 200 bucks.
But first I have to buy an HDD.
And a M14.
When they start shooting a person that's important to me for every game I download, that's when I stop.
I don't.
cutting my hands off and poking my eyes out

thats what I am saying, single player games are more popular in the pirate directory, me personally I would rather buy CoD4 as there is a better community and quality of gameplay plus I can get mates to play it rather than having a pirated community, because most of the people who pirate stuff are real jerks WHEN IT COMES to the gaming community

So you say, that Facepunch is almost made of pricks?
Nice stereotyping.
Most people pirate to try out the games, before buying. Piratebay etc are basically unoffical demo sites.
I don't want to pay 50 euros for a newly released game.
Seriously, wtf?

Just admit, that games prices are too high, aight?
Warezing is our way of protesting against the companies.
And most of us use warez'd games as demos, and if the game was good they buy it later.
What is better, some illegal action to find out that the game completely sucks or paying 50-110 bucks and then finding out it's a piece of shit.
'I want to buy this car, but I can't eat if I do, so I'll just make an copy of it and hotwire it to test it out. If it's good I'll buy it.'
Piracy is stealing shit on the high seas.
Uh no.
Game prices aren't too high, if they were people wouldn't still be buying them would they?
Warezing isn't protesting, it simply makes developers put stricter DRM on games, punishing those who don't pirate. Essentially you're causing trouble for gamers.
How about, waiting for the reception of the game and then deciding on whether you want to buy it or not?
Price drop of Games. I don't pirate movies or music anyway.

60€ for a 5 to 10 hour game is too high.

Dunt ban mah! i got rid of it and bought it a while ago, i learnd mah ways :<

They are here. Would you pay 100 bucks for Far Cry 2? I know I did and I fucking regret it.
It is protesting. We went all spore on EA's ass and look where that got us: Sims3 will have no DRM.
And if a game has DRM, you can pirate it. Pirated copies have DRM removed. If you're soo legimate, buy the game and then pirate it. SecuRom was not our fault, it was EA's.
The only problem I have with this solution, is that the reduced income may effect the quality of the games and future games to come.
But with this, they would at least earn some money.
When people pirate, they don't earn any money.

I'll impersonate you for a second:
'Oh wow, that dude killed me and teabagged me. He is a real jerk, I think he's a pirate!'
'Oh wow, that dude just healed me, I bet my ass he isn't a pirate.'
It doesn't work like that. Almost everybody is a pirate and 100% legimate gamers are few and far between. They're mostly scared shitless by the anti pirating campaigns, they're afraid to get V& if they pirate. And then there's those other dudes who just are the 'piracy is killing gaming' white knights.
In truth, exessive pirating is the cancer, but it's sometimes the cure for other cancers, EG the spore case.

I do it because I love you <3
Abolishing money.
really interesting and complex quality games
there are a few I gladly paid for and don't regret it at all, as for the rest - meh
Ok, to sum it all up before I leave:
For me and many people piracy is a way to play shit games without supporting the creation of another shitty game.
Demos
period.
When you give me a demo that doesn't rip me off.
Or actually give me a fucking demo.
IS IT THAT HARD TO GIVE ME A 60 MINUTE TRIAL?
lower prices
Even if prices were lowered, then people still wouldn't be happy and demand less still.
That said, handheld games (psp/ds) should cost less than they do, in the reigon of £15-20 not fucking £30-35!
Pc games could go down about a £5'r to £20-25.
What I'd like to see is to able to rent games via online distribution. Although with current internet speeds, it's not quite possible. But I'd like too see it happen in the future.
DRM Removal, use steam
DRM is EA's bitch imo
I don't think I can be stopped now. EA would have to die a painful death first.
Also no subscription fees like WoW.
I would buy WoW if it weren't for that. But I do understand how expensive it is to run those servers, and I don't have any idea on how to make subscriptions free.
10$ a month isn't much. Playing WoW a year costs the same as buying 2 new games a year. And WoW has a fuck load of replay value. I have a level 80 character, I still haven't done all raids yet, and new content already comes out. Not to mention I could create an entirely different class and still have fun with the old content because I'm playing in a whole different way.
