I really don't get why that thing is scary.
There are several reasons why that thing is scary. Lemme list 'em. 1. Like OutOfExile said, imagine seeing that at a very young age. 2. How could such a happy, cheerful game like Earthbound change into something so disturbing? 3. The music that plays. Listen to this. 4 .You never see Giygas until the very end of the game. The events that take place before the battle are a huge build up and when you see him, it's not really what you expect. 5. Most of the dialogue comes from a RAPE SCENE that the creator accidentally saw as a child. 6. Usually enemies in Earthbound don't take up very much of the screen, but Giygas...it doesn't just take up the whole screen, it he the screen. 7. "You cannot comprehend the true form of Giygas's attack!" He is basically invincible. The ONLY thing you can do is pray. 8: And of course... The fetus. How is that NOT scary? To quote somebody from an Earthbound forum: "Every one of your worst fears, every tear you’ve cried, every whimper of fear you’ve let out, every flare of pain you’ve ever felt, every nightmare that left you in a cold sweat. All this condensed into a lifeless being, a crimson monstrosity that twirls endlessly throughout the darkness upon being let out of what leaves it tamer.. whispering nonsensical rantings, that, although they may come from something that’s destroyed its own mind, are what could very well be what would drive you to insanity. Behind these broken whispers, there’s shrieks of untold misery, making it impossible to hear anything else as it echoes through your head, slowly breaking down and snaking into your thoughts. To devour or to control your mind, you can’t tell, but if you can’t ignore it, it’ll leave you helpless. Now, imagine this eating up all of the space around you, so that you can barely see your own hands in front of you, not unlike like an apocalyptic fog. Waves of inexplicible power can be felt surging through your body at random, causing damage both inside and out. Subzero temperatures, sky-high voltage, countless results that may mess with your mind or sense of movement, even the shred of life you have.. any of these effects are possible from these unknown attacks. Unless you can protect yourself, do something to drive it off, you’re doomed like the rest. Your time is limited, counting down second by second until it’s too late.. That’s Giygas for you." Sorry if I was rambling. I guess I went overboard with that one. :keke:

"Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope. Statement: This definition, I am told, is subject to interpretation. Obviously, love is a matter of odds. Not many meatbags could make such a shot, and fewer would derive love from it. Yet for me, love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticle, and together, achieving a singular purpose, against statistically long odds." and that, children, is why HK-47 is the greatest Star Wars character in existence. not even Boba Fett can achieve that level of awesomeness.
