hey, i'm trying to get onto the teamspeak channel, the password that was posted on page 10 doesn't seem to be working. was it changed?

I just found a cave, is this bad or what?

Oh god the dwarfmanity! Apparently a diagonal space was in one of my fortress walls allowing access to all kinds of nasty creatures. I was minding my own business when about 5 mountain gnomes suddenly burst through the wall and ran amok throughout my fortress. I believe I slaughtered them somehow and the wall is being fixed as I write. At least it was my first interesting encounter. Now I have a nice coating of Gnome blood smeared all over my fortress walls, now that's just classy.

Is it me or does the new version run like shit.

All my people keep partying all the time. Not to be a party pooper but the festivities have to end sometime. How do I stop this rabble rousing?

Try removing the object they're partying on/about. That worked in the old versions.

Was playing arena mode. I had a dwarf armed with a silver shortsword and a silver shield, using a silver breastplate, VS an elf spearmen armed with an iron spear and a silver breastplate. Both were experts in their craft (swordsdwarf and spearmen). As you can tell, I was setting up the elf for a fall. He fucking destroyed the dwarf. He shattered both legs, both arms, then impaled his head as a finishing move. Only had a cut on his leg at the end. Fight took ages, as if he was trying to keep the dwarf alive as long as possible. Then I set him up against a goblin, expert axemen with a silver breastplate and an iron halbred. First strike, elf already shattered one arm. Lets just say, you can't use a halbred with one arm. After the goblin was dead, I put him against an expert fighter elephant. He put up a valiant effort, but was eventually punted to death. He managed to cripple the elephant before he died, though. Arena mode is amazing.

Goddamn rope is hard to make. I need like some plants I don't have the seeds for and those elven fuckers got pissed at my wooden baskets last time so they wouldn't trade. Goddamn. Now some idiot is requesting goods I don't have: Cloth and Quarry#. What the heck are those?

Cloth is cloth, quarry is stone Also it should give you pig tail seeds by default when you embark, so unless you removed them you should have them. In summer and autumn my fortress goes on overtime with 4 farmers workshops turning pigtails into thread, 2 looms making cloth and 2 clothiers shops making bags for one workshop processing quarry bush leaves into and a quern milling wheat, sweet pods and dimple cups. I'm gonna need a second quern or a millstone.

So what does a mandate do? My mayor just placed one for constructing goods.
