My mechanic keeps suspending connecting a lever to a floodgate, any help stopping this? Don't worry problem solved.

How do I get the military to do.....military stuff? I made a squad, appointed weapons/armor to them, gave them a barracks and training weapons but they wont do anything. What do

If you lose your fortress, does that mean the artifacts are gone forever?

It being an artifact, the adventurer steals it and hides it halfway across the map in some remote location. If I was to make another adventurer, could I find the artifact in the location he hid it? I'm going to try and get a Dwarf to make a ring, and since every location has magma, you know what I intend on emulating.

After I play a good ol game of non cheated DF. I'm going to open up the new raws and create a new workshop called a "Cheat Factory". Said factory produces admantine, diamonds, and can be used to produce admantine beds (Because you can't make beds out of anything but wood as far as I know). Anyone done anything like this yet?

err.. my miner fell asleep in a tunnel somewhere and has been sleeping for a few days now, he's hungry and thirsty yet he wont wake up

also why the fuck wont my dwarves move this statue? i built it and removed it and now they wont take it back to the fucking stockpile, and i cant build it anywhere other than like 5 tiles away from where it is sitting now because it says "no access to statue", even though it's all open and shit

oh and what the fuck is with channeling? im trying to channel out some magma but all im getting is some ramps with my dwarves stuck on them, they refuse to fucking leave the ramps, even though they can get out in any direction, they're just fucking sitting there with no god-damned job, and half my fortress is being designated to be fucking mined out, so there is definitely something for them to do.

Miners get it while digging chanels. Their brain starts to rot very fast and they just sit in channels awaiting their death. It's a bug. Happened to me too. Lost 2 Grand Master miners to it.

It always leaves one ramp left, but I prefer to keep it like that so I can get stuff out if I need to (Drowning dwarves, corpses to be butchered, etc.).
