I don't see the funny thing about that Parakon. :saddowns:
Dickjoke
Oh. Now I see it.
it's nearly penetrating my trade quarter
I have not experienced said Acid Rain. Am I doing something wrong?
fuck a fire man got into my magma forges and is attacking a mason [editline]01:25PM[/editline] the mason is running away and the fire man got hit by his owned fireball [editline]01:27PM[/editline] one of my dumbass peasants fell into the magma and the fire man fell with him.
uhh.. I can't have an arsenal dwarf for some reason
and hes friends with half the fortress. [editline]01:28PM[/editline]
uhh.. I can't have an arsenal dwarf for some reason
i think you need a manger first.
No. When you have a raw turtle, you have to process it in order for it to be edible. You don't get the shell until it's processed (that was changed in this version, in the last version it was what you said, where you don't get the shell until the turtle is eaten)
So, turtles bought from traders are useless? Because they're already processed.
Damn just embarked near an elf fortress in a terrifying biome, most of the eleves are dead, 5 are in my fortress and they were wiped out by SKELETELE FUCKING ELEPHANTS!!
how do you let shit out of cages again?
Damn just embarked near an elf fortress in a terrifying biome, most of the eleves are dead, 5 are in my fortress and they were wiped out by SKELETELE FUCKING ELEPHANTS!!
From what I understood, you are giving SHELTER to five ELVES? You're a MADMAN!
how do you let shit out of cages again?
place a cage down with an animal in it and then theres some screen that selects what you want and not. just uncheck the animal in the cage (marked by a green +)
Sweet, I bought some monkies off some elves, going to raise a monkey army.
how do you let shit out of cages again?
hit b, then j to place a cage somewhere. Once the cage is "built," you hit q, hover over the cage, then hit a to see what animal is assigned to the cage, then hit enter to release that animal. Guess you already figured it out. And yeah, it seems a lot more common now for elves to carry amazing creatures with them. I currently have a pet black bear and a pet giant eagle. Also a hoary marmot and a mountain goat, but those are less cool.
yeah I picked up some jaguars and a bear. [editline]09:04PM[/editline] sweet, i've got both female and male monkies and jaguars, that'll be quite the sight when goblins show up
uhh.. I can't have an arsenal dwarf for some reason
Make a sheriff first
I love the new version :buddy:
it's pretty cool, goblins own me though
it's pretty cool, goblins own me though
That's because they have full copper armor which for some reason is invulnerable to iron weapons. They just glance off/get deflected. You need bronze, steel or above to get through copper. Seems a bit wrong to me.
Oh man, after traveling miles and miles underground I found a magma pool. [editline]06:22PM[/editline] i might have to throw myself in if I don't find an exit soon.
If it's a LOOOOONG-ass tunnel, you might have wandered in to a rift in the ground. Did that in the last version. I followed it for twenty minutes, was forced to eat vomit and drink blood, before finally turning around and barely making it back. I think you might be screwed. :v:
there's no fucking way i'd be able to find my way back.
I am making a monkey civ and monkey fortress.
how do i get my dwarfs to train i gave them training weapons and everything
my expedition leader died, he had a lot of noble jobs, and now those jobs are gone from the list.

Oh God, the flooding system works. Adventurers who hit the pressure plate trap in the tomb (which is sealed with an artifact door) will activate a series of floodgates to open, I ran a test of the water pressure by saving, then opting to remove one of the floodgates manually. They swam totally underwater half of the way back up the stairs, it filled the entire tomb in around 2 seconds. In other words, you will be trapped inside the tomb with no way out. This is incredibly fun.
http://df.magmawiki.com/index.php/Military#Training
there just sitting in the barracks with "Wait of combat training" or whatever and the leader is organizing it nothing happened
How do you realease animals from cages? Oh and Parakon, I had that issue as well, I could not find a way to fix it so I just abandoned the fortress and restarted.
