No, I don't believe so.
Having some problems with modding DF. I would usually make a second DF folder for a modded Dwarf Fortress. This reaction was copied strait from the wiki but for some reason it doesn't work. And it looks fine to me. Am I suppose to do something not mentioned on the wiki?

[BUILDING:SMELTER:NONE]

What's the best way to get a bunch of stone out of an area I want to store stuff in? I'm new to this.

You have to create a new world now, I believe.

Quantum Dwarf Storage. Look it up on the wiki, I think it's there.

Yeah. Did that, twice. Then I make a smelter and it tells me that there isn't anything I can make that doesn't require fuel.

Designate an area for a garbage dumb that is one tile, then press d>b>d and highlight all the stones you want stored, once complete, if you want to use the stone then do d>b>r and highlight the stones you stored.
No one answered my question, so I will ask again.
What do I edit the the raws to make it so my dwarfs don't have to eat anything?
Oh that's easy. Don't do it, it'll ruin the fun!

My first Adamantine deposit!
it takes too long to get a fort up and running, fuck that noble bug.
Nothing like a berserk legendary miner with a steel pick to brighten one's day.
Edit:
farmers are now all stricken with melancholy and mason just went berserk
Edit:
dwarves won't go inside fortress because mason is choking someone to death in the entrance
Edit:
another miner just went berserk
Edit:
Oh good, migrants
Oh great, another forgotten beast:

A giant zombie human.
I've also started underground tree-growing operations.
I've also started underground tree-growing operations.
Same here. I cleared out massive amounts of space for trees to grow.
A very, very slow giant zombie human...
Breaking my automerge. :saddowns:
jewler went berserk and miner has killed two migrants
Edit:
metalsmith went berserk
fucking microcline
So the forgotten beast under my fort was bothering the dogs I accidentally trapped down there.
They managed to remove both of his wings and mangle his body. Awww yeah
I started a new fortress directly beside a magma pipe, and now i'm digging into the side of the mountain

I must be doing something wrong because I can't get it to work.
Never mind, I figured it out.
stoneworker went berserk
I'm starting to lose hope

at this point you can just prepare your fortress to be visited in adventure mode. make cool/valuable crap with whatever craftsdwarves you have left and try to dig access into as many caves as you can
Is it me, or is it impossible to find quest monsters inside towns? They say the beast is in a town, I go there and only people are there, no monster or caves. I think I'll go back into fortress mode.

it seems really easy to remove wings from forgotten beasts. My axedwarves were slaughtered by one in less than a minute and they were still able to ground it in that time

Seriously?
They've been fighting this for 15 minutes now, both its arms have been cut off, its nose, one of its ears, most of its toes...
I don't think he'll live. He can't get back into the fortress to rest because the zombie is right outside of it.
[editline]11:21PM[/editline]
My dwarves are going to starve to death before they kill it.
Just went back to an old fort, equipped me and Taco with spears and iron armor. I send us down to take care of about 8-9 trogdolytes (spelling? oh well). So were kicking ass, about to take down the last one...
And it crashes. Fuck my life.
Military was starving to death so I deactivated them, one got his arm torn off. Now goblins are here and they're fighting it...

I heard that the undead are almost impossible to take down, it'll probably take out the goblins.
In adventure mode, how do I do stuff to people when I have them picked up?

in the new version dwarves will sometimes get emotionally attached to certain pieces of equipment and only use that piece of equipment from then on if they can. Like even if you provide him with a steel shield that's all encrusted with gems and everything, he'll still use that iron one.
[editline]09:58PM[/editline]
unless you know that and you're vexed at the fact that he's a bowdwarf in which case I dunno what to tell ya
I don't get it.
Dwarves don't use bows, they're like physically incapable, hence the crossbows.
