Wow my whole 5 dwarf squad got wiped out by 1 giant toad.
Why? They never trained, and they fought it in 2 groups, and the toad healed all its injuries after winning a fight.

I wish threads would stop timewarping posts, as they don't show the new posts box when I glance at them.

Sent whole fort on the toad.
They went in 1 by 1 and the toad kept regenerating.

Is aluminum bugged? My metalcrafter just took an aluminum bar and made... 3 iron goblets... and then he took another two aluminum bar and made 6 gold goblets.

Maybe metal crafters are bugged. Mine doesn't think he's legendary (won't use the workshop that I said only masters and higher can use), plus he's making iron and gold items out of everything except that.
He made gold goblets out of iron, and iron goblets out of aluminum.

People need to get in the chat when they play.
My weaver just spent quite a while creating a cave spider silk braies, studded with copper and encircled with cave spider silk and petrified wood. It's been dyed blue, and menaces with spikes of native copper and pyrope.
It's got an image of a dwarf and dwarves in giant mole leather, and an image of some human traveling in native copper.

I modded a bolt which explodes on impact and melts the guy.. but it only works when stuck in, and sometimes they spontaneously combust in the quiver
With all the people that enjoy the new style of irrigation (I know, it's from the 2D,) Toady should allow us to choose by turning something in the init file either ON or OFF.
Because it IS a bug, and I do know a lot of people that hate it, and a lot that love it.
Also, found an even bigger "Mountain Wall."
This time, It's around 27 tiles high, even straighter, and apparently has a massive Minas Tirith style cliff (3 of them, actually.)

Can you mod a creature to drop extremely cold or hot/acidic gas or liquid on breaking? Perhaps you could make dwarves breed some kind of angry self-destructing house pets made for traps and so on.
How does one fix their full-screen error? I can't play without fullscreen (Vista top bar takes over the whole K item description and half the pause options). When I try, I get "Mode Switch Failed - running in windowed mode"

It was for a few days, but the bugs of 2010 killed it. It'll be popular once the OpenGL merge is done and bugfixes released.
In the meantime, join #bay12games on irc.newnet.net, it's super active.

That sounds awesome, as far as I know no one have ever managed to do something like Minas Tirith. Heh, I've been trying but failed miserably.
