War Giant Eagles, that is all.
"An animal has become a war Gorilla." YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS
you know nothing until you get war skeletal whales
I suppose I can wait for the elves to come by with giant eagles, though I don't think I'll be able to get whales since I didn't embark by an ocean. [editline]09:07PM[/editline] Is it possible to tame or train megabeasts?

The moment you capture a Bronze Colossus (and tame it) is the moment any and all of your defense worries will go away.
Ah crap. I am the second to last human in the entire world. The other human is on the edge of death, so if I die before getting to a town and retiring, that's it for humans. Craaappppppp...

Kill the other human and kill as many elves as you can, make an epic story in Legends.

Especially if caged above the fortress until released en masse.
Hmmm, too much effort?
Paranoia is setting into my fortress, the Dwarven caravan hasn't arrived, and we haven't received a migrant in over a year and a half. Murmurs are spreading that some unforseen natural disaster has annihilated the outside world, and that Doom Mountain is the only bastion of civilization left. Others insist the Elves have finally perfected their catsplosion technology into something known as a "thermonuclear cat." A superweapon which bred out of control until they managed to wipe out every major population center. Whatever it is, the consensus is that the fortress is alone in this world. (Guys, what could be causing this? Ever since I pissed the Elves off all forms of outside contact has stopped.)
Maybe the elves quarantined your fortress from the outside world using unicorns. :byodood:
Bedrooms Hmmm, too much effort?
Nice, but it's crooked on the left side.

What's the next thread gonna be called?
fantastically fanciful forgotten beasts [editline]09:25AM[/editline]
War Giant Eagles, that is all.
I have some, it's a shame they're useless underground. I still have my war cave crocodiles though <3
What's the next thread gonna be called?
v11 - canceled, could not find path.
v11 - canceled, could not find path.
Seconded.
v11 - canceled, could not find path.
This, indeed.
I've never actually had that problem, but I'd be OK with that
Fuck yes, look what Toady fixed in the upcoming .04 - 0000002: [Dwarf Mode -- Embark/Setup] Crash when using site finder on large worlds (mem usage >2gb) (Toady One) - resolved. - 0000022: [General] Vermin remains don't rot (Toady One) - resolved. - 0000161: [General] Corpses do not decay/rot (Toady One) - resolved.

Also... I caught some groundhogs. What can I do with them? I can't seem to be able to tame/butcher/release them. (DF2010)
Nice! Also... I caught some groundhogs. What can I do with them? I can't seem to be able to tame/butcher/release them. (DF2010)
Sell them I guess
Sell them I guess
Haha I just tried that. When I ordered my cages to be moved to depot all rhesuses and groundhogs were released. Lets just say that I have around 10 war dogs, and they were all in next room :v: [editline]01:18PM[/editline] Holy shit, red everywhere.
Loving the rate at which Toady's fixing stuff. Also, rotting vermin wooo.

Lost 20 dwarves this day.
My military is obsessed with training now... what the hell they barely leave the barracks, even if I order them to go somewhere / kill something. Also Hungry Heads :v: [editline]02:07PM[/editline]
Happened to me too, but with 5 Troglodytes and 1 Troll. Lost 20 dwarves this day.
:pwn:
My dwarves are upper crust now, instead of eating plump helmet stew it's plump helmet roast
Oh god what the fuck!? I'm not sure what happened but every time my cook made an easy meal and someone stored it in a barrel it said that "a masterpiece of cook has been lost". I didn't pay attention as I was busy killing giant toads in a cave. It didn't take long till the cook got angry and started fucking shit up. He destroyed some doors and a table. Then proceeded to destroy one of my bridges. He stood on it and destroyed it... Bridge was 5 tiles above ground. He fell down and broke both his legs. Sudden pain must have calmed him down as he left his tantrum. With both legs broken and gushing blood he proceeded to vomit and loose consciousness. He woke up moments later and as he was trying to crawl back to the fortress, captain of the guard walked up to him, stabbed him in his lower body shattering his left kidney and then twisted the sword lodged in the wound until the cook bled to death. ... I... don't know what to say...
