Yeah that's very true.
Silly miners. Always getting dizzy.
I don't care for the other bugs as much myself, I'm just waiting for him to fix military bugs and broken healthcare.
Perhaps it's a representation of modern events?
I'm still playing the version before 2010, because I was starting to learn on that version when 2010 was released. I got my first trading caravan (elves), and I've successfully traded with them. Except for some reason they won't leave. They just stand there. I know a liason is supposed to talk to my trader, but I haven't seen him, nor has the conversation happened. What's going on?
Guys, I discovered a possible reason why I am not getting any immigrants. I searched in the init file and discovered that INVADERS was set to NO. So either that is a bug (probable) or Toady intended for their to be unforseen consequences for people that don't want to be attacked by goblins
The invaders in the default init.txt files for both .02 and .03 are YES to me.
I set it to NO because I wanted to play DF2010 without dealing with the apparently "broken" military system.
I think an invader in terms of dwarf fortress just means any creature that enters the map
I think an invader in terms of dwarf fortress just means any creature that enters the map
In 40d# I was able to get caravans and migrants when I had invader turned off.
Yeaht must be a new bug for 2010
UPDATE: Holy shit, it's not because I had Invader turned off, a caravan just arrived. The main diplomat has a new injury, he's missing an eye :ohdear:
:ohdear:
How do I make my dwarfy miners stop getting all dizzy? My doctor guys won't do anything.
How do I make my dwarfy miners stop getting all dizzy? My doctor guys won't do anything.
um, your miners shouldn't be getting dizzy for any reason, maybe disease or something? make some soap, I dunno
What even causes dizziness?
Dwarf fortress V11: Unable to find path Dwarf fortress V11: No fish anywhere Dwarf fortress V11: Vomit monster's deadly spittle Dwarf fortress V11: Pinching off limbs since 2010
In many forts I have in the new version, my miners get dizzy, then eventually their lungs and hearts start getting bruised or something. Over-working?

New thread should be Urist Mcfucktard dodged into magma
I knew it. Those pesky elves are always up to something. They always dodge my ballista arrows!
In many forts I have in the new version, my miners get dizzy, then eventually their lungs and hearts start getting bruised or something. Over-working?
Dust from mining? I have no idea. There was a mod on the forums which made mining coal give miners black lung disease, which accumulated over time.
That could be it, probably from the many mods I've been getting.
