Yes, I said I made zones and assigned them as ponds. When my dwarves go grab a bucket, they just go "Inappropriate building." when they're near the river. They just drop the bucket and go do something else.

looking at the embark screen toady has completly destroyed the 2cat joke. [editline]01:04PM[/editline] anyone here who can host a DFterm? my router reset and i'm not going through the port forwarding lark with my dad again! (It was bad enough for him last time.)

I [i]THINK[/i] I am allowed to join the all nighter. My mom doesn't want me to, because I don't have any t-shirts (all thoose I have, are currently getting washed), so she wants me to get up early and buy some. My dad however, says that they can just buy them for me (Which I agree with. As long as it fits, I don't care about it.) I really hope I can join.

I'd love join the all nighter, but sadly, I'm going out of town. Raided an elf caravan in Fortress Mode. Damn, the elves hold a lot of stuff now.

Also, how do I attack in Adventurer mode? (I.E. I am taking control of shit in Arena mode).

Ok.. How do I make more miners? I have picks and I've set mining labor at some dwarfs but they don't give a fuck. OMG I got it... you have to make a squad and make them equip picks ...

I am playing the new version, a fortess called "The Anus of Bleeding". So I dig my fortress inside a small hill, I want to build a fortress outside so this one will be provisional. Everything gets fine and running, waiting autumn for trading with the merchants, and meanwhile I'm digging deeper and deeper looking for magma and make obsidian. The underground is filled with caverns man, anyways just keep digging. So I don't find any magma, autumn approaches, my dwarves are chilling inside the fortress, when suddenly I see the main hall (Basically my fortress was a large corridor with rooms on its sides) filled with web, that's the moment I say "God no". I see a S, attacking my dwarves, and I'm shitting bricks praying Armok, with no fucking clue how squads work after some tries I find out how to order my squad to attack, so my lumberjack and my miners start attacking the GCS. The GCS kills the 4, so I make another squad with everyone just wrestling the GCS, and after 2 or 3 losses, All I have left is 4 guys and 2 children, horribly mangled, miserable, in a corridor filled with corpses and blood. Swearing to Armok I would revenge my fort, I ordered my dorfs to explore the caverns looking for flesh to punch to death, but they get tired midway and they go to sleep, so I close them inside their rooms. At this point, there are lots of fucking animals in my fortress, and there are only free one little boy and one guy, the guy dies from its wounds like the others, and the other child is locked inside a room, so the little boy is left alone. He has acces to the food supplies, but ALL THE ANIMALS are there, and they're scaring him shitless, they don't even let him clean himself, the little guy is scared shitless, he has witnessed his mother die, everyone is dead and all he sees is death, he tantrums, and keeps roaming and trying to get to the supplies but keeps getting scared, and he finally faints. I'm loving this [B]Edit:[/B] Forgot talking about the miasma. There you go, I couldn't see shit from all the fucking miasma :v:

The "work until finished or dead" thing is stupid. My bookkeeper is going to kill himself.

My dwarves won't fucking make charcoal, they all have furance operating but just refuse to do it, someone help me out

Adventure mode is quite entertaining, I spent half an hour wondering through thick woods to then get thoroughly murdered by a black bear.
