Started walking to Twin Peaks, got stuck partway there and got the rescue team to get me out. Sold my first k of sweat for 3ped. I feel like a business man.
Looks like everyone is leaving, i probably will too.
We hunted Eomons and big Exas (alpha elite - longtooth) yesterday in the soc. It was great, probably my best hunt ever in my 4 years of playing EU. Got around 8 team globals, and one global for myself when I killed a pesky little foul chasing me. Ended up with a 200% profit after MU :o
yeah it was pretty cool, I'm not sure if I made a profit or not, probably not :v: I can assume I'll be down 20ped or something

Is the opalo still weapon of choice for misers? I remember there being a big uproar because of its ridiculous PEC/shot ratio, which meant that it did damage on the cheap, even if the damage it put out was shit.
I think they rebalanced the opalo a while back, the userbase is still going small but strong, still very friendly and helpful.

If this is true, it's gonna be cash.
For those wondering, a mentor used to be a more experienced player taking on helping out new players, ie getting them started. When the disciple(new player) get to a certain skill lvl within one category, ie Rifle 1900 or something. The mentor would get a random weapon in Mentor Edition, which could be worth quite a bit, though it seems the disciple also get something now as well, which is cool.
But usually the mentor just got something shit with barely any markup :v:

So guys, assuming I roll a new character and throw in $20-$25, what should I do first? I remember hunting and mining were pretty enjoyable, though in their own different ways.
So i finally installed this game and played for a couple of hours. I managed to finish the tutorials and get most of my skills up. Im in the port right now, i hunted some animals till my noob guns gave out. i have .6 peds on me. Im thinking about just sweating till i get some cash, or possibly find another mission to complete. Any ideas?

Unless you are depositing you are stuck sweating. Try getting a lift to Limnadian District if you can, easy sweating there.

imo just go with the opalo, Vivo T1, then lots of ammo, then just consider if you want to put a few peds into mining as well. If you're mining you might also want to check out these:

While they're not 100% accurate, because EU is constantly changing, it does give an indicator as to what you might find there.

I can buy the animal muscle oil for the current week markup, and the sweat for 2.5ped/k so about 1ped and 32 cent for that 530 sweat
also you should store up the nova and blazar fragments, wait until you have 1k or so of blazar then sell both.
