What happened to Hitman games?

I heard the next Hitman game is going to have a movie tie in/be released with the next movie.

Because the developers didn't want to spend rest of their lives doing one series of games. Or it's in developement and that takes time, I should know.

They should just release a few maps with random people like a city and have you eliminate other hitman. I guess you can add a story line to this, you know those pesky russians and their nukes.

"Agent 47, we have a mission for you..."
"Alright what is it?"
"Well the Russians..."
"Oh fuck that!"

*Russians come in storming the girl and adult-napping her...*

"What the fuck..."

Easy as that, just add some cut scenes and a few missions and BAM, Hitman 5!
