Anyone got a mirror for the demo? Gamershell is being stupidly slow.
I'm loving it so far, but I don't like the lack of online multiplayer, though I imagine it's for a good reason since it'd probably last far too long.

Like Civ4, Me and a friend has a short game last about 10 hours.
HLOY FUCK the sound in the beginning of the trailer shot my nuts up.
Finally managed to get the demo, I really like it.
Look's like I'll be sticking with 1701. I only ever play these games for the lan capabilities with my friends.
One complaint, how do I get more resources haulers? I sit here watching all of my production buildings back up with surplus resources.
Does anyone know how to get hamachi to work for 1701?
my neighbor and I are trying to play together :c
Does this game have a tutorial?
so is this like the guild?

There's a button with a star icon in the bottom right, click it to set up trading routes.

You need to upgrade your warehouses. You get to upgrade them when you get citizens and patricians. Click on a warehouse and it's at the top of the window which appears in the bottom right. Just roll your mouse over everything if you don't see it at first.
Each upgrade adds an extra cart to that warehouse.

Kinda. It pretty much gives you the basics as you work through the campaign.
I liked the demo. Only problem I had was I couldn't find anywhere with stone on the seconded campaign.
I think I'll still get the game though. I like these type of games.
The game looks really nice.
I'm surprised nobody has said sand niggers in all caps yet
Anyone know if there is a crack for the demo time limit?
(User was banned for this post ("Warez" - Dragon))
Yes there is.

A crack is not warez.
What graphics are you guys playing at?
I'm playing at very high with a Gforce 8800GTS 640 mb, Core 2 Duo 6600@2.4 GHz, 2 Gigs of Ram
Only lags at the beginning of a map and some of the shadered textures pop up a bit late.
Gets smooth as hell after 5 minutes of playing.

Wow that's cool. I play with 2 NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2 OCX 1GB via SLI, Core i7 Processor Extreme Edition 4x2x3.33GHz and 8GB RAM
Works pretty good so far :downs:
Why do people run at under 4gb ram.
2gb kingston ddr2 2gb stick is $20?
Btw: Why do you even post fijgum :(

What is up with the minimap?
I don't know. Always happens after loading a game.

Because people still run 32bit OSes.
I got the game and I love it.
I've been addicted to this game for a while.
I found a good strategy. In the first few minutes buy up as many tools as you can make some wood, then go around with your starting ship and then put a single warehouse on each island.
The AI will try to catch up of course but if you are fast you can lock them out for the rest of the game, especially on the lower difficulties. In the Master Builder scenario I reduced the AI to a single northern island (it's starting one) and two oriental islands.
You don't seem to need to do this immediately, since the AI (especially on easy and medium) will always lag behind you anyway.
I bought this game, it is awesome! I am having a bit of a money crisis though because my peasants aren't advancing to citizens.

Build more houses, change ascension rights to manual, make sure there is enough stone, wood and tools and hand pick houses to upgrade
