that doesnt help. i left them in my mod home and now it says they are somewhere in new vegas.
That's because of your own stupidity, leaving a follower in a home that you removed. Ugh.
console commands:
prid <ref id of follower>
moveto player
If it's a corpse, then also:
resurrect

i didnt remove the home. the mod is still on, my compainions just dissapeared.
trying the command now.
I find it odd that people still live in vault 34 I say that message is actually a REALLLLY old one
No, no, no. They are actually [sp]trapped there. I'm sorry for my earlier mistake, they are actually vault-dwelling ghouls. I haven't done the quest, just skimmed over the Vault 34 article on the wiki. Anyways, here's the section of interest:
You are given a choice on how to end the quest (my note: Hard Luck Blues). Vault dwelling Ghouls are trapped underwater. Either disable the Reactor, thereby removing the radiation contaminating the Sharecropper farms, or reroute control of the computer system to the Vault dwellers.[/sp]

oh ok. You made it sound like you uninstalled the mod and now the companions are at the place the mod home used to be. Tell me if the commands worked.
I find it odd that people still live in vault 34 I say that message is actually a REALLLLY old one
That's why i didn't save them
it's better to help the NCR and Westside than a possibly dead group of survivors.

They turn up at the NCR camp outside Vegas after a couple of days, so saving them does have a physical benefit.

But they will remain trapped for a greater good.
Why not Give them control over the vault and they shut the reactor off?

they worked perfectly. thank you.
I am trying to make a compainion use a custom race (like turn cass into a ghoul) from a different mod. thing is, after i change the race and load up the esp, the game insta-crashes. when it goes into a room with the compainion.
any fix?
idea for an intro to another fallout game:
It takes place just before the war, you're a man sitting in his house eating breakfast with his family when sirens go off, you look out the window to see a mushroom cloud in the distance, so you and your family run for the vault. You're able to make it to the vault (Vault 8), and the doors close while people sob. The camera pans up to a clock while time is fast-forwarded. When it stops, the camera pans back down to the room where a group of people, armed with weapons and radiation suits, open the vault door again. The camera would move forward to show a raider base built in the ruins of the town.
But they will remain trapped for a greater good.
Thought about it, but I couldn't let a man, his daughters and their friends die. And I figure vault dwellers probably have plenty of tech and science expertise to offer the NCR. Anyway, all they'd need to do is build a new pump line that doesn't run through the Vault 34 area.
Why not Give them control over the vault and they shut the reactor off?
Because then you wouldn't have a choice to make :/
Damn plot holes.
Hmm should I DL Nevada Skies?

And i couldn't let several men, children and women starve. And the Vault 34 residents are everywhere, those are not the last ones of their kind.
Oh yeah, and the plot hole, very good point there, you could simply leave them a message to disable the generator, or return there to blow it up after a couple of days. And how the heck did they manage to get out of there anyway ? the lower levels are flooded and collapsed.
Hmm should I DL Nevada Skies?
It makes the game quite pretty, but i got tired of the bugs and crashes, specifically the pitch black days.
Hmm should I DL Nevada Skies?
I personally would rather wait until it goes out of beta or is 0.8-0.9 or so. The guy updates it almost daily, so it's obviously still pretty buggy. Give it a week or so, it'll get better and more stable, like Fellout.
Also posting this, since I didn't see it posted:

Better Game Performance v3.
No, it's not the dxd9 fix, it's just a bunch of tweaks that make the game perform much smoother. Also removes a tiny cave rock that lowered performance a lot, other than that it doesn't change the look of a game in the slightest. Try it out, made my game run much smoother, and I've got a really great rig.
Has anyone tried this mod? If so, would you recommend it?

Same with the ending of FO3. You could have just sent Fawkes inside the room, as Super Mutants are immune to radiation. Worst part is that you COULD actually ask Fawkes to do that, but she just responds "IT IS YOUR DESTINY, YOU MUST DECIDE YOURSELF!". Fuck you, Bethesda.

Rocks on the cave floor. There was a lot of tiny pebbles on the ground that forced your computer to load a shitload of polygons just for that. It's not really noticeable visually, but damn does it make the game run smoother in caves.
Also, just stumbled across the NCR commander at Primm walking around in the middle of the desert.

Only if you like extremely loud whooshing sounds
Where is a good place to find a Ballistic Fist at level 12-16?
Hmm... Ballistic Fist or Mantis Gauntlet?
was wondering where those weird DRRRRRRRR noises were coming from
although those might be horribly disfigured people slowly coming my way through cracks in the wall

For the new version of Nevada Skies, I just made it so that sandstorms were very low in frequency and short.
Playing as my neutral character
i love how it's nigh-impossible to be neutral, you can't even take everything someone's got and help them, you're still good
I had neutral in my 3rd playthrough
i love how it's nigh-impossible to be neutral, you can't even take everything someone's got and help them, you're still good
I think a lot of things should be neutral karma-wise
killing people in general (fiends, raiders or good guys) is bad karma (unless they're a special bad guy, like cook-cook or whatever), stealing shit is neutral (you're trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic desert, you're thinking "fuck this guy I need all his water") and storyline choices are where it REALLY matters
stealing shit is neutral (you're trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic desert, you're thinking "fuck this guy I need all his water")
The game is set in a heavily rebuilt, industrialised period of time in the wasteland, which is predominantly ruled by the NCR. This isn't a lawless desert set just after the war.

Why do you get bad karma from pickpocketing the guns from some raider who is gonna rob, kill and rape travelers

Jesus is watching over you, don't forget he can see everything.
i want karma-like karma
being wasteland jesus makes you find a bunch of treasure while asshole mcprick can't take a step without running into cazadores
