Ha, that was me. It was a joke.
Oh thank the lord in heaven. Still, though, my statement probably still does hold true.

This will probably be the post that sees my karma increase tenfold :v:
LMAO@ this dialogue I just had: I chatted up some guy on the road and asked about his life story. "Well, I was born in a little town out Montana way. Me and ma didn't have much, ever since my pa up and left!" "[Lady Killer] Wait, Montana? You wouldn't happen to be 17, would you?" "No, sir. I'm 28, why?" "Oh, thank god. Forget it. Never mind. So your father left?"
I found this really interesting for a couple of reasons. Firstly it implies that Courier Six is older than the other protagonists we've seen before - late 30s at the youngest. Also, it's one of only a handful of references to Six's past. There's his relationship with another Courier, the "COURIER SIX - WHERE ARE YOU?" graffiti, and the mentions of his visits to New Reno. Just thought it made for some interesting hypothesising.
"COURIER SIX - WHERE ARE YOU?"
Where's that?
Where's that?
Oh god, I couldn't for the life of me tell you. I might not even be remembering it correctly - I don't think it's with the graffiti by the destroyed caravan. Those ones say stuff like "You can go home now Courier" and "Courier Six?". I'll try & find it, or at least try and remember the exact working.
Ave, always true to Yes Man
just cause 2
I do not understand the relevance of this reply, you guys know what a lod, is, right?
yea
I do not understand the relevance of this reply, you guys know what a lod, is, right?
yes, compare just cause 2's landscapes to fallout's funny thing is jc2 still runs faster than nv for me
Oh god, the [sp]Enclave[/sp] remnants are fucking awesome! Seeing them slaughter Legion Scum alongside the NCR with [sp]the Boomer's[/sp] bomber in the background...beautiful.

it's southwest of the starting town, just hug the canyon face first time I saw it I was like "the fuck is this shit"
Can you guys recommend a house mod for New Vegas that's a bit secluded(for the sniper/ranger type) and has plenty of storage?
Can you guys recommend a house mod for New Vegas that's a bit secluded(for the sniper/ranger type) and has plenty of storage?
Just use one of the in-game buildings. I liked the Novac room a lot, but you can use a farmer's shack or something.
I got a problem.. Whenever I enter the Strip vi the north entrance, itshows the loading screen, then I just get a black screen indefinitly. I did alittle research and found out that this problem is not uncommon and happens when: You are level 14, you kill Cassy, and you try to enter the strip. Theres a supposed fix for this that I haven't tried, putting on a Caravan Cowboy hat (or something) will let you through. Is there any other way of fixing this?

Why not try first?
that sounds like a ridiculously specific bug
Just use one of the in-game buildings. I liked the Novac room a lot, but you can use a farmer's shack or something.
I would, but I fear of dreaded respawning containers :ohdear:
Erm... you know the dialogs between NPCs? NPCs will also try to talk with dogs (just see the kings trying to speak with Rex) Not weird at all
I would, but I fear of dreaded respawning containers :ohdear:
If you are really that paranoid of it, find a place you would like to set up at and check that area out in G.E.C.K. to make sure you can.
why not get one of those mods that adds a shack or something?
Walks into Jacobstown HOLY SHIT IT'S YOU AGAIN
I would, but I fear of dreaded respawning containers :ohdear:
The houses in Nipton don't appear to have re spawning containers. Why cant you just fast travel to the lucky 38 instead of having to to travel to the north gate go through and enter the lucky 38 that's 3 loading screens to go to one place. Come on they have the location coyote den the cant have the strip as fast travel too.
There's a mod for that, I believe.
I'm using it also using the all-in-one strip, love them
Anyone know how to make thrown weapons stick around for longer? I'm tired of throwing a spear into the wall and watching it disappear 5 seconds later right in front of me.
Anyone know how to make thrown weapons stick around for longer? does Martin or any of the overhaul guys have a mod for New Vegas yet? i loved Martin's monster mods for Oblivion and F3
yes, compare just cause 2's landscapes to fallout's funny thing is jc2 still runs faster than nv for me
That's not what Im talking about, I'm talking about how long it takes to generate the lod mesh, textures, and static models in the geck. LOD means Level of Detail, every time something is more than 200 meters away from you in Fallout 3/NV, you are seeing a LOD, not the real thing, that includes buildings, objects, and terrain. Once you hit the 200 meter mark (roughly) you'll see things the buildings fade away to a lower detail version, which is why buildings in the distance look really muddy. That's the LOD kicking in. I used morrowind's MGE utility as an example, if you are to generate a LOD for morrowind's world, it takes a matter of minutes, and looks really good. If you generate a LOD in the GECK for Gamebyro, it can take up to 10 hours and beyond for something that looks sub-par.
