I absolutely like the Caravan game in New Vegas, it's actually a pretty cool concept. It's also a nice way to gain some money and it is even fun. I even played in with another guy yesterday.
I like exploiting caravan with people who happen to be merchants. That way, you can buy stuff from them and get all of the cash with tens, nines and sevens.
When I first saw Horrigan I thought "goddamn he's massive" Now I find out he's a Super Mutant. I guess that explains it :v:
I still can't figure out Caravan. I'd rather play blackjack in the casinos.
I still can't figure out Caravan. I'd rather play blackjack in the casinos.
You can work out caravan in literally about 2 minutes. I read the rules of it and it seemed really complicated, but after a round or two it will all be crystal clear.... or your money back, guaranteed,

I wish you could play Texas Hold 'em in the casinos. Blackjack is a tad bland and relies too much on luck, as for Caravan I don't understand it at all.
I still can't figure out Caravan. I'd rather play blackjack in the casinos.
It's kind of a mess at first but when you read the rules and pay some attention, it's quite fun. Actually it's piss easy if you understand the concept.
Keep your fingers crossed for new casino games added in upcoming dlc.
Wouldn't doubt it. Three games does not make a casino.
I still can't figure out Caravan. I'd rather play blackjack in the casinos.
The only gripe I have with it is that when I've got a killer strategy lined up and suddenly my opponent wins. Other than that, it's a leisurely, easy way to claw back money from merchants. Experimenting with face cards is fun stuff.
I still can't figure out Caravan. I'd rather play blackjack in the casinos.
The goal of caravan is to reach 23(or22 i'm not sure) -26 into all the 3 card piles before you opponent reaches it. Aces are ones, when you place a king next to a 10 it adds 10 to the pile and if you add it next to 7 it turns into 7 etc. Jacks remove some cards and they can be used to remove you opponents cards too. no idea what queens do though. Oh and you lose if you get 27 or over in any of the 3 card piles, or if you opponent end up with better piles.
Queens reverse the direction one of your card tracks go in. You can't just place cards at random: each track has to ascend or descend in value based on the first two cards in your track. For example, an ascending track would look like this: 2 of Spades 4 of Clubs 5 of Hearts The following card has to be above 5 or be of the same suit (so a 3 of Hearts could follow on), but it can't be of the same value, regardless of its suit. Same goes for card tracks descending in value. What Queens do is reverse the order, turning an ascending track into a descending track. So that track can become: 2 of Spades 4 of Clubs 5 of Hearts Q. of Diamonds 4 of Spades 3 of Hearts etc Against the other player, it's practically worthless to play. In fact, it usually gives them new opportunities.
Does luck actually effect your chance of winning in blackjack, etc?
Does luck actually effect your chance of winning in blackjack, etc?
Yes. If you win SOLELY because of your luck stat, it will say "You feel lucky"
great, they raised the level cap, that sounds like a terrible idea.
What's wrong with raising the level cap? I'd like a few more perks.
