What's the point of the reloading system and campfires? There are barely any plants anywhere and breaking down bullets into lead does fuck all.

There are plenty of campfires, they aren't everywhere, but they're around. They don't even have to be burning, just a pile of wood over some stones counts as a campfire. And I have no idea how reloading works so I never use them.
